The only order I've received so far is from Homestead Farms and they looked great. Got several that I already had but that are in the weed bed and don't look good at all, just took a couple of pics as I accidentally allowed my phone to die, it was charging as I was unpacking the box and planting. Here's a couple of Kevin's and Solf Salmon Saucers

It's really still too hot to be planting here in AL, hope I don't see fall growth when we come back next month.

Nick, more snow is coming on Friday Crying So early! I am trying to prepare the garden for winter, so little time! I received roots from Solaris today, they are woody (Hanakisoi and Godaishu) and are going into pots. I planted one today and put it to the cool room for winter right away.

I will certainly let you know how Petticoat Parade does, Nick.

I look forward to seeing your roots.

Liz, those roots from Homestead look great. I used to have problems with Song Sparrow roots sending up stems in the Fall after being planted. I always thought it was because they had been in storage for a while. I hope your roots stay dormant.

Anya those woodies look great! Hopefully even though you are getting snow it will stay mild.

Ugh, seriously? I really feel like the race is on now with the cooling temperatures and the huge loss of daylight hours up north. It doesn't leave much time to get things done after work!

The first batch of plants I received were from Pivoines Capano - Pink Spritzer, Raspberry Charm, Krinkled White, Pink Patterns, Langley, Serenade, Bordeaux, Neon, Victorian Blush, Moon River, Illini Belle, and Rose Diamond. These divisions were monsters and in some cases they looked like half of a well established plant.

Next came my order from Les Jardins Osiris - Audrey, Claire de Lune, Yellow Waterlily, White Cap, Silver Dawn F3 mix, Coral n' Gold, Horizon, Orchid Annie, and Pink Moon. Unfortunately I was not able to get everything I asked for. The roots were quite fibrous - perhaps from growing in pots? Sorry about the poor lightning here; I was working late in the day and the flash on the DSLR was not cooperating!

Here is an awesome division of Zuzu from the CPS root sale:

And finally, plant from Blossom Hill Nursery - Early Glow, Garden Lace, Golden Frolic, Sugar n' Spice, and Pink Patterns. Definitely the tidiest looking divisions so far.

That's all I've got for now!

A box arrive from Nate, late yesterday.
I was quite pleased to see among them, upon opening the box this morning, a very nice sized division of 'Godaishu,' along with some others.
I'd rather ordered, & had added that one a bit late, & had decided it best, if was to be included too. Though certainly sure am glad now, that I had.

(I'm quite sure I'll enjoy, the Japanese cv.'s that have showed up, so far.) Edit, as nearly forgot to include an image, too.

Anya - Is your ground starting to freeze? It's crazy to think you already have snow when we're still getting 80F+ days. Your division looks superb!

I just checked out their page and love some of their offerings, bookmarking their website for next year. Hilarious!

Helen, some parts of the ground are frozen already and some is freezing for evenings and nights only. It is still possible to plant peonies because only very top of the surface is frozen and breaks easily. I am expecting roots from Holland, those will go into pots.

Isn't this the second best time of the year for peonies? I love the promise each new root holds!!

Nick, I always wondered why Osiris' peonies were fibrous looking, too. They do have a great selection though.
Great selection from P Capano! I will have to look up Pink Patterns and Rose Diamond.

Love the roots from Solaris, Ruthanna!

Shawn, those roots are awesome!!

Gary, that is a nice plant! And I love those raised beds!

Great Lavender division, Anya! Glad you were able to get it into the ground!

More of my peonies should be arriving in early October.

Agree with LG, this is the 2nd best time of the year for peonies! Roots are looking great! Nick, your Canadian growers are sending exceptional divisions!
Anya, keep fingers crossed that we get the shipment from Holland this year, last year's attempt was a fiasco! I assume your's comes in with the big shipment to the US and mailed to you from there? If shipment goes smoothly we should get them the 3rd or 4th week of October. Theirs was typically the last shipment I received every year and sometimes planted in snow here in CO, can certainly see why yours would go in pots with snow there already!

Does anybody not getting anything from Gold City yet. For some reason my daughter came back this weekend and there was nothing from Gold City. I did leave her a voice Mail about my order, but she didn't get back, so I wasn't sure she got my order or not.

New roots from Countryside and Adelman's arrived today. They are fresh and huge and so many eyes I count them. Similar to Adelman's if that tells you anything.

Both roots together. Very happy with these roots and no doubt I will see blooms on these three roots. LG I spent a lot of time building the raised beds this summer. It has 5 different planting boxes and all at different levels. Really wasn't hard or too expensive. Materials bought at Lowe's.

Very nice order, Greg!

Glad you got such nice divisions, Gary. Are they all going into the raised beds? It will be so much easier to keep the weeds out.

Thanks Gary. Last year Gold City delivered my roots around Sept 16. Anyway, I have a hold Mail request on my address, it's possible, they also hold packages,

I also have an email from Solaris that he is shipping my order, it's on track to be delivered Oct 1. One of my daughters will be home that day.
