I sure hope this will be over before I have to climb on a boat this afternoon at 4:00. I'm playing a Harbor Cruise Retirement party. Don't get to do THAT every day. In fact, this is literally the first time I will be doing that.

Yes, I remember when Hurricane Rita knocked the power out in Houston, TX several years ago and we spent a couple of days staying with friends because of the extreme
heat and we left the house with all the windows open and hoped the house would not be in to bad a shape when we returned. We took our cats with us because it was too
hot to leave our babies behind!!

That is a long power outage, Dave. I hope it is restored on schedule, or even better, earlier than estimated.

It was totally distracting…we were gently plying the waters in Boston Harbor and all these beautiful views, sunset, clouds, cityscape and cool sailboats kept floating by. I had to keep telling myself not to look up, so I wouldn't get lost…

I would have had that same problem, Zoia. So much to see!

77/45 and mostly sunny today and I have the day off to play outside
I've been asked if I would have my gardens on the Region 1 American Daylily Society garden tour next summer. Iowa, Manitoba, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota, are in Region 1 and I agreed to do it. Anyone want to help me remulch all the gardens next spring

Wow! Went outside this morning and it was actually chilly! 68 degrees f. After yesterday's rain it has really cooled off!
