Another rainy day here, 64 F or 18 C. 40% chance of showers, but it is 100% for us.

Protection from birds. Plus, mosquitoes need standing water to breed.
Nothing quite like sucking the human blood out of a recently-fed mosquito looking to make babies.

Sweet potato tacos sounds great (I love starchy foods!). Perhaps there should be a recipes side-thread to the Porch-Swing one. I know my own cooking can do with freshening up from the rut that it is in. My "lazy rule" is that it should never take longer to prepare a meal than it does to consume it. Although it is impossible to stick to, obviously, but it remains a life-efficiency goal.

Weather here is as described in the meme above. Sunny/cloudy/hot/cold. Impossible to decide what to wear, thesedays.

Today hit 74, partly ( mostly) cloudy. It rained for about 15 minutes, chasing me indoors. I had an unexpected surprise Holiday at school ( the Fall term one is known as Cricket) so I got to spend the day in the garden. I weeded out most of Upper Bed and cut back a bunch of Rhododendron that was either dead or growing into pathways..

Hit 91 today

It's still in the 90s and 100s for us.

87/62 and sunny today. Time to do a rain dance

56/65F partly cloudy w/north breeze. A couple daylilies trying to bloom as season wraps up at the lake.

61 F or 16 C, with a mix of sun and cloud. It looks like the rain is over for now. Tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy, but then we have sun and nice temperatures in the forecast for the rest of the week.

70 and raining. Should be over by 8pm. Tomorrow the temperatures start to go down. I don't see 70 in the forecast again. Upper 40s at night, 60s during the day. A bunch more rain on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. If this wet pattern doesn't hurry and finish up we could be looking at a very snowy winter…❄️❄️☃️

A full week of 70's and sun. Of course, it goes as low as 39 degrees at night. No rain on sight. Nice garden cleanup weather.
My two daylilies are not blooming but full of vitality as we slowly shut down for winter. I disassembled the trellis full of Thunbergia blooms. Hate doing that, but hate working in freezing weather - coming too soon.

I love that vine, Kathy. The flowers are all so pretty! Sorry you had to take them down.

I think the Thinbergia is beautiful, I need to see if it would like it here. DM loves flowering vines and I think she would really enjoy that one.
