Wow, I didn't know they are open already, thanks LG. Something for me to browse while waiting for my pizza.

I am so happy Swensons changed their website! It drove me crazy. Not only was it hard to navigate but the peonies talking about themselves in the third person....

I can't afford Roger's Red but it's certainly eye-catching. I will keep it in mind and hope the price comes down in a few years. I think after this year I'll be done will large purchases and will likely be buying only a root or two a year due to space. I'll have the same budget though so can spring for pricier plants!

I'm waiting for A &D and Solaris to post their offerings before I decide what I'm buying.

Thank you so much for sharing the site, I didn't see that their old site had a link to the new one, so I had no idea they were open. I miss their old site - it had WAY more pictures (the descriptions were silly, though).

Is Solaris opening tonight (that isn't a new site, too, is it?)

LG, congratulations! Most of peonies are more expensive this year at Swenson's but Stephen Ambrose is a little cheaper than last year. It's a lovely peony, I wish I had more space in the garden!

Zellycat, Nate hasn't announced a specific time to open for Solaris but said sometime in the morning. Adelman's Peony Paradise opened at midnight Pacfiic time, just an hour ago. I got one of their new woodies called Cheerful Glow. Looking forward to Solaris opening in the morning!

I can't believe I only bought one peony from Adelmans. I too got Cheerful Glow. I am glad that I bought quite a few last year.

I am wondering if all the weird weather effected their crop.
LG - My garden grows with love and a lot of hard work.

It's always nice to see what the growers are offering. I'll say I didn't like Swenson's descriptions, but I did like the old website better as it showed you how the flower looked from bud to bloom in their time lapse video. Very different from all other websites, now it is just the same.

I would be on the lookout for Hidden Springs offerings as they downsize a bit. Some of those you won't see again in his catalog. He has some pretty unique selections and roots of great quality.

And Solaris of course will have treasures galore no doubt.

Good luck today everybody. It's a gift of peony beauty that the future holds, no matter what you buy. Lovey dubby

Solaris is slowly releasing them, I purchased 4 tree peonies this morning.
He is still releasing them, the pages went from 10 to 13 in 5 minutes.
And now 15 pages.
He is now releasing herbaceous peonies, it's 16 pages.

Yep. The annual bogged down website where you have a tough time getting on.

Yes, when I first look at it there were 132 varieties of tree peonies now there are only 127

Got my Hana Kisoi and Shichifukujin that will be enough for 2022.

From Solaris I ordered Manchurian Promise, Irena Sendler, Joanna Gilbert, and one Japanese type, I need to go look up the name. Here it is, it's gone from Solaris already.
