Off topic and I don't want to post elsewhere for just one question, but where's the phone icon on a tablet? I got my first tablet today. No idea how to find the icon or drag it to the home screen.

I've had a tablet for 3 years! Congratulations on your first one! Mine doesn't have a phone app, since I didn't think you held tablets to your ear like a giant cell phone. Or did you mean something like Skype? You can, however, text from one I think if you download a messaging app. I use mine mainly for gaming and downloading pics to draw by. Haven't touched it in days, actually I had some 'extinct' fun and played an old PC disc game yesterday. Smiling

Deeby, to drag an app; tap and hold the icon with one finger. When the screen shows like a grid to show available spaces to place the icon, drag the app to where you want it, then release your finger hold.

farmerdill said: Concur. There is a wide difference in both flavor and texture among the many types of edible plant leaves. Even among varieties of the same species. Some people will not eat a cooked green, while others will love multiple types. Some folks love turnip greens but hate turnips, so they grow varieties like Seven Top, All Top which do not form edible roots.

If my family would call my greens just 'greens' that would be ok by me but they're calling them 'turnip greens' even after I correct them and get mad at me like it's my fault they want to be wrong. It just makes me feel like they don't care to listen to me. But...you can't pick your family.

Anyway, I did grow Seven Top once for my mom when she said she didn't care much for the root part. But she didn't like the taste of Seven Top so I went back to Purple Top White Globe. Actually, I switched to Mustard Greens a couple of years ago and have stuck with it because everybody liked them. Only this year my family is getting confused. Knowing them, if I were to grow turnip greens next year instead of mustard they'd start calling the turnip greens 'mustard greens' just to make me mad. Sticking tongue out

Mustard greens Sticking tongue out Thumbs down (I do like pretty much any other kind, but especially beet greens and chard)

Rain is unfortunately only better than snow when the temperature is above freezing Sighing! . We have about an inch of snow on the ground now, just enough to look pretty.

Not now, it's too cold. But I will put this bulb outside when the blooms are spent where it will get ignored and thrown out later in the year. Last year's bulb came back because I actually paid it a little attention but no bloom.

They can survive here in my warmest spot but I think none bloomed this summer.
Plant it and they will come.

Welp, I feel dumb. I've learned that tablets don't make calls. I'll look for the texting app.

Hey, don't you dare feel dumb! Smiling Technology ain't easy to understand. I hate my Windows 10 laptop because it whines for an internet connection to even open the photo gallery.

Today was nasty, cloudy, rainy and cold. Stayed inside and made soap for Christmas presents. Hilarious!

marvelous Anne!

They're PREETTY and something YOU made (not just store-bought).
How thoughtful! THOSE are the kinds of gifts I wish I'd get!!!

(I still decorate my Christmas tree with ornaments my kids (now grown, with kids themselves) made in elementary school.)

Thank you!!! This was actually the first soap I've ever made
It was a kit from Hobby Lobby and was very easy to do.(except for popping the soap out of the molds). It makes 10 bars but I may be able to stretch that out slightly. I plan to start making my own soap and giving it as quick, on-hand gifts. I'm going to make a couple more today. The mold only makes 4 bars and my mom already ran off with one of them so I'll need a couple more. Rolling my eyes.

I still have a couple of homemade ornaments my younger cousins made me eleven years ago. I haven't seen either cousin in like 3 or 4 years.

Thank you! I made two more bars today but let me tell you, popping them out of the molds is nearly impossible. If I continue making soap for gifts I'm going to invest in silicone molds. This plastic one came close to cracking when I tried getting my first bars out. Sticking tongue out This last bar has refused to pop so far. Coincidentally it says "Calm" on the bar. I'm like, yeah right. Hilarious!

Wonder if you can lay a strip of wax paper in across to help lift it out, sort of how some do making brownies.?
Plant it and they will come.

The mold has designs and words on it, so I feel like wax paper might mess that part up. But, I will definitely keep that idea in mind. I would like to continue making soap, so if I get a plastic mold that doesn't have a design I'll do that for sure. Thanks for the suggestion! Smiling

I think the wax paper would mess up the design too; maybe spray it with some Pam cooking spray? (You'd kind of think soap would just pop right out of a mold! Confused )
