Grape hyacinth: Mount Hood is starting to bloom. the tope part of the flower starts out 'powder blue' which turns to white.
Our red polyanthus primrose is starting with many buds coming along.

It's almost entirely under water today...and I can't even see the tips of my recently planted iris. Hope none of them wash away. I haven't been out there yet, but I bet we have water escaping over our dike today! I really kind of hope so...we have way too much at the moment.

I have daffs popping to dang cold to go out and take photos....This Spring stinks...

The water is going over the dike...good. The level has dropped quite bit since first light.

The new iris are in the pink area, and the little black hellebore is in the aqua circle.


I guess it'll be a bit yet before I'll be adding my new rushes.

Last year's new roses are getting a good drink, too.

Mine is at 3 1/2 inches just from yesterdays rain.



The entire 4 acre bottom land has water running over it from the creek

I don't know, Cinda. The rain gauge is at the end of the far pier, and I'm not going out there right now! Not only is the water clear to the top, but there's also a new layer of icy snow. I'd hate to slip and fall in that water...it's really cold!

I'm debating on whether or not to bring in my seedlings. They're calling for 30 degrees which is okay, but if it dips any lower I might be in trouble.

Wow...those are petite!

I saw some large blooms in a yard yesterday that looked like they were on dwarfed stems...was thinking they'd be an excellent choice for our windy areas here. Those minis would be, too.
