I put mine on the deck immediately outside the kitchen window, hoping that the cooler outdoor air will help them last longer. If a hard rain or hail comes tonight and shreds the ones in the garden at least I can enjoy these for a few more days where they're sheltered by the overhang.
Rip van Winkle in its first year here. I like it.
First time I've actually seen how a calendula seed sprouts.
After two to three inches of hard rain again last night, we now have snow. The sunny pictures of your garden, Rita, have brightened the day considerably.
Chelle those are Red Emperor tulips. New for me this year but I am really pleased with them. Very colorful and a type of tulip that returns reliably year after year after year.
Weather people predicted more rain & we had overnight drizzle. Hubby dropped me off for a sleep test last night & had to drive home through drizzly gloom.

Chelle , that calendula sprout is so cool I have never seen one in sprout before.
It is cool, isn't it?
One of many joys of germinating seeds before they get planted is seeing how they do it. Plus, no growing space is wasted on seeds that don't want to grow.
