The last two I bought were big http://www.tractorsupply.com/t.... I haven't checked to see how much they hold, but I'm betting 30 to 36 ounces. Regardless of what the the reviews say, the bottom doesn't leak if it's kept clean, and it does separate for easy cleaning. I've had these for two years now, and they look like brand new. That even after leaving them out on the porch all winter long. *Blush* Oops.

Glad to hear that the fox was fine. I always wonder about it when the shier wildlife is found prone in the vicinity of humans.

That flying saucer feeder does look easy to clean. It looks like it's basically just the bottom part, with a deeper well. Smiling

My goodness...I only got a baker's dozen iris planted out today! So many more to get done... Sticking tongue out , but at least the area is all cleaned up and ready to go for next time. Weeding it took longer than I expected. We got just enough rain yesterday that the roots wanted to hold on to the soil. Weeding before the rain was super easy...it was bone-dry and everything just fell apart.

3.5" of rain today. Might perk up leaves to color instead of turning brown.

Wow, Lucy! That's a bunch of water! Had you been dry?

There's just one shrub showing color here. No trees yet.

We got a lot of rain here, too--really needed it! We were bone dry here. No fall foliage for us, though! Temps don't drop enough for us in September to get the bright colors. Thumbs down I lived in New England for over 20 years and really miss the fall colors!!

quite dry which has affected the trees. Leaves turning brown & dropping (birches bare). With some water perhaps we will get color.

While running some errands yesterday I stopped by Lowe's to browse the leftover plants that are all marked down and found 3 trees I have wanted for years! A kousa dogwood, a patio peach, and 'Forest Pansy' redbud, all for 1/2 price! Also picked up a weeping willow for some friends who just purchased their first home where there is a high water table. They've been wanting a weeping willow and this is the perfect house warming gift!

Got my 3 babies planted yesterday. Now waiting for bulbs to arrive to finish with fall planting. The end of the gardening season is kinda sad, but fall planting does make the anticipation for spring all the better Smiling

We put a Forest Pansy in my parents yard a couple of years ago. It is a beauty, right now the leaves are turning a beautiful shade of red.

Hurray!

By the time I finally make it in to see the sale stuff it'll all be gone! Rolling on the floor laughing I'm just too into absorbing this perfect weather right now. There probably won't be much more of it, so I'm cycling and hiking like crazy... while it lasts!
I don't mind gardening in foul weather; at least it's done close to the house, so warming up is fairly easy.

Great finds Neal! Green Grin!

I agree.

Give yourself plenty of leeway in losing any post-smoking pounds.

You might try to find one thing at a time that you regularly eat that adds the weight and subtract it too. I do this by treating myself to an enjoyable workout instead. Plus, I crave good things like plain old water, ice cold carrots and big juicy apples after a workout, when I'd normally bypass them otherwise. Win-win! Big Grin

It's a cloudy, drizzly and dreary day here, (but not too hot or too cold Hurray! ) so it's a gardening day for me. Smiling

Philip, thanks for the beautiful color, the only color we have is the birds at the feeder, the rest is still buried under a heavy coat of white. Hilarious!

Thank you Ric!,..its hard for me to imagine what its like to have lots of snow and how it confines you and all the thoughts of everything planted is under a blanket,..last time we had snow was back in 2010,..lots of rain and flooding however i am on a hill so no problem.

The birds at the feeder make it interesting and satisfaction in knowing you help them through the snow period,..well done.
