Yes the name O'Reilly is plentiful in many Counties though with the name Shannon,..i would think somewhere close to the River Shannon,..its along river,..365 Kilometers or close,..have a look at the link below

Tigridia Pavonia ' Mexican Shell Flower,..Tiger Flower',..produces blooms up to six inches wide in my garden from July to September,..the bloom only lasts one day but produces more the next day,..in colors of yellow pink and red with different patterns,..all of mine are grown in large pots,..just to know where they are when dormant.

I picked the name Shannon after the river my first name is Elaine long story (Divorce ) People here think it's weird that the name Shannon is more for men in Ireland But, a great aunt from Ireland had the same
name so I kept a family name

Deebie,..i think the average size is approx 4 inches,..then as the season progresses the blooms become a tad smaller from all the blooms each plant produces,..with a good sunny location and feeding they will produce big blooms,..i have not come across any bulbs since 2013,..hard to believe,..it was a once off,..luckily i collected the seeds which everyone wanted a few of,..i ended up with about half a dozen for myself

Shannon,..ah so i guessed right about the name Shannon being associated with the River Shannon,..i live about 100 yards from that river and spend a lot of time boating up and down it and into the lakes,..oh i know a few women named Shannon so don't mind what they say,..its used here

Your Daughter is country hopping,..great experience for her,..i hope your wish comes true about the shawl

Your welcome ah yes i could live on a boat like that,..though you bagged it before me living close to the river Shannon and Lough Ree is a dream,..if i am unable to get someone to mind the pets so i can go abroad then a good long trip in the boat helps,..of course Molly the dog comes along.

Catherine,..Its even more beautiful in Northern Ireland,..Antrim in particular with its stunning coastal scenery,..or west coast in particular Donegal,..i used to live around there loved it,..i made a video of some of the west coast from Donegal to Galway,..its in the link below,..enjoy it and your upcoming trip.

Shannon,.. remember we drive on the opposite side to that in the US,..i could not get used to that,..when on holiday in Spain i was lucky to have had friends from the US with me,..Spain drives on the US side so no problem for the US friends.
