Natural selection.

I find dead animals in my yard every once in awhile. Found these while going through cloud photos. Posted it elsewhere before.

Most of the raccoons I see are roadkill.

This is out of a Stephen King novel in my neighbor's tree.

Thirty six hours below zero between Sunday and Monday. Made sure my little friends have food and water.



Expecting a high of two degrees fahrenheit today. Ouch!!

@Hazelcrestmikeb it makes me so happy to see people are caring for our bird friends during the winter. It never ceases to amaze me how these tiny creatures are able to survive the cold.

Went out today to freshen things up in regards to the birds and inadvertently the squirrel Washed out the birdbath. Scattered seeds on cardboard that I laid on top of the snow. The feeder is full and there's ample suet. I noticed that most of the birds prefer to socialize by eating on the ground as opposed to the feeder. Maybe it's just the limited space on the feeder.

Ewwwww! That is an albino scorpion right? Do you kill them or just relocate them? Thankfully, we do not have those here yet.

I really have no idea. As long as it doesn't bite or sting me, I leave it alone.

Thanks. Zoia, I've seen them in the yard but never knew what they were. I guess it's a good thing if they eat mosquitos!

Oh! Cool… I was told years ago that was a mosquito hawk but I'm happy to have the right info.
