Aren't those lovely? They sure would be easy to spot and pick off the plants. Convict caterpillars a very fitting name.
I must tell you I watch a planespotting livestream and there is a debate going over who likes or dislikes a certain plane of Condor airlines. The whole fuselage is stripes (blue/white, green/white, red/white, beige/white) and I absolutely do not like them. I could not really figure out why but now that I see these caterpillars I believe it is because striped planes remind me of striped insects or some stripey snakes. I associate stripes with bad things. Needless to say I think I made a few enemies on the stream when I voiced my dislike but to each his own. About the only thing this plane has going for it is that is highly visible in the sky IMHO.
