Thanks, Neal. The heat along with the high humidity are oppressive here. Add that to the fact that I have developed cataracts in the back of both eyes...not much actual gardening going on this summer. Getting an implant in the eye that's the worst in a few weeks. Difficult to wait, though.
I had gloriosas that were in a pot for 4 or 5 years. They did well there but the freakish onset of winter caught me before I got them into their usual protection. I surely miss them.
Thankfully it's a problem that surgery will repair, and next year you'll see your garden in a whole new light! Is there a lot of discomfort associated with the surgery?

Yes, thank goodness for that! Not sure about discomfort. I've been told that the majority of the recovery will take place in the first week though. Hoping that's true.

I have the iris (black Gamecock) in a little bog and my Tuberoses have a bud showing. will be blooming before week is up, I'm guessing.
Hope operation is gone well, Bev.
Thanks, Charleen. It will be tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to getting it done but am still a bit nervous about the whole thing. As always..I love your bog. Would like to have one myself someday.
Ah! Charleen I see you already made your way here with your Tuberose pic! That's about the stage mine is at- I'm excited, never have grown them before!

Charleeen, my tuberose from you has a bud too. I also had some that I got in another trade that had 3 buds, but the deer ate two of them just before they opened. They are really bold this year. I need a watchdog, but I'm allergic to them.
