I agree I agree with Bev. Chris, I do like your Oros. I lost both the one that had been around for a couple of years as well as the one I just got last year. They are such charming little plants.

Thanks Bev and Mairilyn! Got to be careful with the spinosas. They rot easily with to much moisture.

And the slugs love the spinosa types, but don't seem to care anything about eating all the other varieties.

I finally took photos today. This first one was sold to me by Simply Succulents years ago as Sedum stolerferum, which obviously is not correct.

Thanks for sharing your collection too, Lynn and for the advice that my one and only O. japonicum (japonica?) needs more sun. I've moved it closer to edge of balcony.

Nice collection Lynn! Some of mine are starting to show signs of getting ready to bloom already. I can't believe it will be August the end of this week already.

O. malacophylla var. iwarenge is starting to turn lovely colors now, and showing signs of maybe blooming. Not sure it will get to seed stage before winter hits.

Gee, how pretty and delicate is that! Do you need to give protection to that for the winter?

It almost disappears over the winter, and reappears in the spring. A most wonderful hardy succulent. I have had this plant for years.
Glad you both like it.

That's so pretty Lynn! I agree, every year it looks like I lost mine, but alas - they magically return! I planted one in one of my raised beds this year to see how it will do over the winter. It doesn't have the pretty colors that Lynn's is showing yet. Most of mine are in containers that I bring into the unheated garage over the winter.

It is such an unusual color in the garden and makes a nice accent.
Chris I see some of the pink starting on the sun side of the mound. Great photo.

i also planted some of mine in a bed last year. Looking to see how it does in years to come. Still love all the oros. Just wish I could get them to survive the temps long enough to set seed.
