I'm going to guess it is one plant I won't try to grow -- needs a mild winter and that is one thing we can't give plants, indoors or out! Sighing! MR (Love the new smiley!)

MR, I grow them in zone 4 and they do well here. Just protect them from most winter moisture - that's why mine are in containers.

Mine is the Dunce's Cap (Orostachys malacophylla var. iwarenge I got from Lynn, thought it was 2012 but looks like it was 2013 (getting old and the memory is going) Sighing!

It winter our sub zero weather this past winter and came out great. No covering except Tulle. It was sitting on the cement steps on my patio in a simi sunny spot int that hypertufa pot. Hoping for a milder winter this year. So far no snow but we did have a bit of frost a couple of mornings last week.

I'll see what survives in my semp gardens (pots in the cellar wells and new rock garden) and then decide whether to branch out. I can't get too far afield here with all the semp seeds I have to plant! Lovey dubby

This sounds a bit heart-felt! Hope you are taking a Gingo supplement. I thought that was just another "come on," but at this point I am willing to try anything that can't hurt and might help. It's the only supplement I'm taking that I can actually see has made a real difference. I've got everyone over 60 taking it now -- we use the Melaleuca combination that a friend got us started on: "Unforgettables..."

How beautiful they are. Did all of them bloom? Just wondering if they will have enough young plants left to come back in the spring. I hope this is not their swan song.

There might be a couple of young ones that did not try to get a bloom in--I cannot really assess right now because it is all snow-mush.
I too hope this was not their swan song--they have been such a nice color with that silly hat and the 9-bark Hilarious! that I sure wouldn't mind repeat performances.
But I am contemplating some other potential plants to replace them, just in case, which is how I survive winter anyway Hilarious!
