Butt pruning is different from weeding out small lily stems.
I have also boob pruned,when lilies are over 30 inches high and budded it isnt wise to weed amongst them.

I lay down on my stomach and reach in, just to be able to get a picture without weeds, but I've still had casualties.

LOL, Polly, funny visual! I crouch low just to get photos, a stomach crawl would be even harder for me to get up from!

Whaaaaaa.I bend to get good angles and compositions.Sometimes its prudent to wait for a similar bloom in order to get a good pix.

Here's Forever Susan or Starlette. I hae both and they look just alike and always open first blooms on the same day.

I had just assumed it was a spelling error.

I learned a long time ago to swish away lily stems when I squat in close quarters. I always feel kinda feminine as this (to a man) seems sorta like what women wearing dresses do when sitting down.

And I have to say, I'm glad I don't have boobs. They must get in the way of a lot of things.
