I keep seeing those huge purple alliums in front of Laura's greenhouse this spring... but ones that are a little smaller would work for me, since her gardens are nearly all on a larger scale than mine.

I'd also be fine with just 50 of whichever one you'd prefer. Purple Sensation has a tighter form, Purple Rain is like a burst of fireworks.

Terri, I think you are getting more than half of these. If I ship to you like we did last time, that would be closer for Lisa to pick up (if they come before the swap). If you'd rather we shipped to me this time, that's fine also.

I have both $10 'Striped Amadeus' (10 jumbo bulbs) and smaller but more numerous (box of 25) $5 'Blossom Peacock' bulbs in our order. I think the 'Blossom Peacock' will be great planted 3 to a pot. If anybody wants a few, just LMK before they arrive. If not, no worries, I'll just gift them around. They're both doubles. 'Blossom Peacock' was a favorite variety with our group many years ago, and 'Striped Amadeus' is fairly new, or at least I don't recall seeing it before last year.

OOPS!! @aspehill Terri, I'm so used to all the hyacinths being in boxes of 50 that I didn't double check. 'Splendid Cornelia' is only available as a tray of 250 for $162.50. That's a good price (65 cents per bulb) but probably way more than you wanted. I can split 'Miss Saigon' with you, or you can add a different one (they are usually really good about add-ons). I can take some Splendid Cornelia (25-50) but probably not enough for ordering that tray of 250.

No worries about Splendid Cornelia or Chantell's daffodils. Ashley just called to check our requested delivery date (they should start shipping 9/4 if there are no delays on the water).She said they've started changing some of the website pages since after today not everything will be available for ordering stateside.

If you need rounding up on Amarylis bulb order, count me in. Color doesn't matter.

Lisa, I ordered 10 jumbo Striped Amadeus and 25 regular sized Blossom Peacock, both double varieties. The jumbo Dutch bulbs will be about $10 each and the smaller Peruvian bulbs about $5. I want at least 4 Striped Amadeus and at least 9 of the Blossom Peacock, the rest are available but don't need to be "sold" since they make great holiday gifts. LMK how many you'd like. I think the Blossom Peacock would work well with 3 bulbs in a container.

Also, take a look at van Engelen for Amaryllises. I might order a few from there, since I can purchase 3 at a time instead of 10... 3 from VE seem to be priced at around $33 for regular sized bulbs, and 3 from ADR are $30 -- but they are jumbo sized bulbs.

If there are any ADR Dutch amaryllises (10 jumbo bulbs in a bag) that catch your eye and you think you'd take 5 or even 3, LMK.

Thanks, Lisa, I appreciate that! I'm keeping 4 Striped Amadeus and 9 or 12 of the Blossom Peacock. The rest are up for grabs, but if not claimed will be used as Christmas gifts. So if you want some, plmk. I'm loving the picotee edge on Striped Amadeus, and Blossom Peacock might be my all time favorite (possibly tied with Gervase), so I think you "need" at least 1 of each, maybe 3 of the Blossom Peacock to pot up together.

Robin, the amaryllises and oriental hyacinth generally do not ship in early September with the other fall bulbs. They are generally shipped a month or so later. Once we know the timeline we can figure out if there's a good way to get them to you.
