Sounds like a good time - long as there's no need to cross the bay bridge.
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

ADR will start shipping September 4. Since we're having our fall swap on the 23rd, I'll get in touch and ask them to ship the week of the 11th, allowing extra time to get the bulbs split up and for "just in case."

IF ANYBDOY WANTS TO ADD TO THE ORDER, IT'S NOT TOO LATE!

OK, that's two boxes of 250 Muscari armeniacum @ $50 per box, $100 for 500. Yes?

Bulk tray of 1250 bulbs is $187.50 (5 bulbs for 75 cents rather than 5 bulbs for $1)

Anybody else want Muscari in quantity?

Yep $100 for 500 bulbs. Thank you. Looks like Van Bourgondien bought out Netherland Bulb Co and upped the prices.

How did I miss that? Critter please forget Muscari from ADR. I'll go with NBC and save $14. Thanks Rick!

Got it. Thanks, Rick. I was going to check around also before placing the order, since that seemed high for "basic" grape hyacinths.

Just an FYI, fall bulb orders are starting to ship from the growers. I got an E-Mail that my Mt Hood daffs are on the way and will probably arrive the middle of next week.

I decided to join the swap, if Marilyn wants to come, it would be better, but I should be able to drive to Potomac, with my leased car, which I can use my cell phone as GPS!

I already had a mishap, it was raining very very hard, I could not see anything and I had my Saltenia and my Mogochinchi (from Luzmary --a Bolivian restaurant about a mile away) in my car, so I thought, I should just go and not wait. I did not see that I was not on the part of curb for cars to go through, -but still where there is a curb--and I felt a big bump, sure enough, something was detached and was dragging on the ground from the middle of the car. I was fortunate enough that the gas line was still whole, otherwise it would be much more expensive... but even that, it cost me $350.00 for Stohlman to fix it.

I may still get lost.----So I would like to get 10 more or less of Bridal Crown. Otherwise I do not have space. I must get all the weeds out in the front yard, full with Bermuda Grass and Bindweed, even covering my irises---roses, worse than ever-and my backyard full with English Ivy, all kinds of volunteers, especially black walnuts, honeysuckle bushes, and lots of lots of Porcelain vines. Full of them. I have cut a lot, but they are growing so fast, and I cannot work in the 30 degrees Celsius heat (I think nineties F). I killed the poison ivy that I found using herbicide and I saw them dead. Maybe I will kill the English ivy with that spray too, I have to read if they kill them too. All from my neighbors spreading to my yard. I also have been killing the trumpet vines on both side of the yard. I do not have a single tree in my yard, but lots of long branches from my neighbor trees.

Francine, 'Bridal Crown' didn't make it to our final order (sorry, the change was via treemail and not on this thread, but there is a final order list above). I do have 24 each (in bags of 8, so you could have 8, 16, or 24) of Sir Winston Churchill and Geranium available, and I have an ABUNDANCE of Tete Deluxe (sweet mini, would tuck in anywhere).

Okay, I just take the Tete Deluxe, 16. Thank you. I still have not heard from Marilyn if she could join me to the swap.

Francine, Tete Deluxe is in a bulk box (not bags of 8), so you can have whatever number of them you'd like. Let me check the price... 36 cents per bulb, 25 bulbs for $9

These are sweet mini daffs, a little more impact than a crocus but not much, so I think you'd need 25 to make much of a showing, preferably in one little drift. Clumps of 5 work great for the bigger daffodils, but I think these would get lost if you planted them 5 at a time, although I do think they'll be good multipliers. I'm going to put them around the base of my dogwood in front, and I don't think 200 will be too many.

Robin, you're already down for 50 'Tete Deluxe' daffs. I'll increase that to 75.

@critterologost : 25 is all right. I already have some daffodils there, and it is not a big space. I am still cleaning my front yard, it is a sea of Bermuda Grass and Hedge Bind weeds, I have cleaned only a tiny bit. In Spring I thought I cleaned a lot, but with the hot weather and all those water, all of them came back, and now I am really digging out the roots----
On the other side of the walkway I just took out I do not know what they are, new weeds with tiny flowers. Never had them before and a lot of crabgrass, was not there either. My neighbor hired people to take care of their yard and they use lots of things with blowers, so maybe they arrived that way or some birds dropped the seeds, I do not know----My backyard is a sea of green, but unfortunately they are all Porcelaine ivy plus saplings of Blackwalnuts, honeysuckle bushes, and lots of nettles and other things that I do not know the name of----
At least I got one thing done: cleaned my 1991 Volvo, waiting to be picked up by the Charity that I am donated to----Hope it will be picked up soon. Hopefully whoever bought it will keep the car whole. No rusting at all anywhere, even the exhaust is whole, and 4 new tires. I had a lot of problem getting the license plate off the car, but finally got both of them off, took them off and took them to DMV and got the 2024 registration fee back yesterday---will be send as cheque to me.

We were Crossing Fingers! when the salesman went to remove the license plate from our 20 year old Honda CR-V! We just got a brand new one, same make & model, but with quite a few differences (including that the new one is a hybrid, so Hurray! for better gas mileage).
