Well, it is so hot now that there aren't many flowers worth taking pictures of. Thrips have done much damage on some of them also. But Heather Grace doesn't care about the heat or the thrips. It's texture is like leather. I am saving the pollen, it opens a little later when it is hotter. Today Waves of Joy bloomed so I used it's pollen a lot. Tomorrow I will use Heather Grace a lot.

Heather Grace taken from different angles so you can see the raised pinched centers. The same flower.

Lisa - That Holmes seedling is so pretty with the purple shades and the watermark! Do you grow any of her registered cultivars? I got Strolling in the Roses and Rowena Yaeger year. Strolling in the Roses bloomed but had a terrible thrip problem that I didn't get under control until the last couple of flowers. Those darn bugs loved that cerise color. Rowena Yaeger should bloom for the first time this year. They both have terrific plant habits!

Great pictures Ann, thanks so much. Aren't you glad I sent you Mint Octopus? Mine is almost done blooming now. It really put on a show this year.

Stenciled Di Fresco is really looking good as is Dragonfly Dawn.

All the blooms here are just fabulous. Such a treat. Hurray! Hurray!

Dot - If I just buy one more plant ever, it will have to be 'Heather Grace'. Your plant is just outstanding. The picture is stunning. Wowzer! Drooling

Ann - I brought 'Dragonfly Dawn' from Tink this Spring, and it's doing very well here in my slope side mountain garden. Your plant is gorgeous as your picture shows. Thumbs up

Rain is plaguing the northeast. We are still a month away from any blooms with the exception of Nicole's 'Red, Hot, and Boom' and 'Follow Your Fancy', both with large scapes on them. Very early bloomers and rebloomers. I am considering building an ark if we don't have some sunshine soon. Pouring rain today. Bring on the heat!
