I was right in the middle of posting flowers for today and my internet went out, so I'll try again. I am posting 2 pics of Laughing Clown. The first one is the first flower that opened and the 2nd one is how it should look, bottom of the page.

Cindy - I'm captivated by Milky Way Eyes. Is that your registration?

Kim - You have a lot of gorgeous ones. I especially the three clump shots in your post!

Here are some of mine from today. I went out to photograph half asleep this morning, and so many of my pics were out of focus, or had part of the bloom cut off. But these were pretty good.

Today's blooms:

Orange Spice, with a bit of Thrip damage. Not sure it is worth spraying (I would hate to kill beneficial insects too) if it is just a tiny bit, unlike last years 'eat the entire blossom whydontya'. This color is FINALLY approaching what I see with my eye. I just LOVE this flower more and more each time it has bloomed.

Thumb of 2013-06-28/philljm/e1f200

Wild Horses FFO! I am so excited, it didn't bloom last year and I was worried that I may have lost it after the drought- apparently not!

Thumb of 2013-06-28/philljm/e120f2

I just remembered that Charles Johnston had twins open this morning - I almost forgot since they are so hidden, will have to go out and see if they still look good, or washed away after the rain today

By the way, I have seen some GORGEOUS flowers posted here over the last few days. And I tend to agree, they daylilies are outdoing themselves this year. Is that because last year was just so bad, that these look so good, or are the really that good? By the way, for everyone that takes the time to post photos - thank you !~Jan

I really like that Orange Spice!!! I have had insect damage too but I am seeing such a lot of baby praying mantis's that I really don't want to spray and end up killing them.

Christine the only reason I had a bloom on LDL was the plant is a new intro this year from GA so it is still on southern time. I only let one bloom to see it and cut the scape so it can settle in before winter. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that it likes the north.

Jan IMHO that looks more like slug damage than thrip damage because to me it looks like part of the petal has been eaten away. Thrips usually just mess with the color of a flower (or leave bumpy texture) not actually eat the tissue.

I am having a difficult time keeping up with all the wonderful blooms everyone is posting. I am thrilled each time I log on and see more beauties. I wonder how many different daylilies have been posted just on this June thread. Thanks, everyone.

I love your GAME FACE picture, Ann! Makes me very excited, as I just got my big beautiful plant of GAME FACE from Floyd Cove in the mail today. And I think your SO IRRESISTIBLE looks heavenly too -- as do all the others. I'm soooooo impressed with all the beautiful blooms I see here each day. It really seems like there are incredible daylilies pictured here this year that are really exceptional. I do so love this thread!
