I think what porkpal means is that when you click on kiki's image, it shows that it is image 6 of 6. You can then use the arrows on the picture to see the previous pictures in the thread, which actually have nothing to do with this current ID.

It takes a second click to get the extra (irrelevant) photos. Is it supposed to do that?

I tried the extra click because it will further enlarge the photo. ???

It does that for me too, so I assume it is supposed to. It saves using the arrows, it seems. A second click doesn't further enlarge it for me (iPad). There might have been something about this in Site Talk a while back, not sure.

Yes, it does that on any thread. If you go to any thread it will show an arrow of any pictures that were posted on that thread. This is an open thread for identification of various insects; not one specific kind.

The question isn't the arrows, though, Christine. It is that if you click (or tap) twice on the image in a thread (ie. once on the enlarged version) it brings up all the other images without the need to use the arrows.

This unfamiliar beetle has suddenly appeared in numbers. Can't seem to find a match at the bug sites. They're big, slightly larger than a June bug, and noisy with feathery antenna.

This is the closest I've seen, ten-lined June beetle. I can't see the details of the antennae in your picture but the top-left does look close (if it occurs in your area):

Can anyone help me identify this? This was filmed in southern Alberta at around 7500-8000 feet elevation. It looks like some mosquito/moth lovechild. I have never seen one before. Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi Hulio, I think it looks like some kind of moth maybe in the family of "Leaf blotch Miner Moth", they kind-of sit and look like yours.

Okay, I've been introduced to the world of plume moths. Not sure how I didn't know of them until now. I am renaming the title of the video as Gillmeria albertae - due to the location and also every picture I've brought up of Gillmeria albertae seems to show rounded wings while the other Alberta species seemed to all have pointed wings. This is obviously far from a professional identification on my part. If anyone knows better, let me know!

Good work, Hulio! That's great you found the ID of your moth!! Thumbs up Plume moths are interesting.

I have a strange looking moth that I haven't been able to identify. It's on a tomato leaf. I also found a couple of forming tomatoes that had worm damage so think it might be related. Not sure.

It got away before I could focus better. Glare

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone could help me identify these little (eggs? I think?) that have shown up all over my currant. They're on the underside of the leaves and discoloring the leaf above it

Yes. Probably White Pine Blister rust.

This has come up on my tree for a second year in a row. I'm not sure what it is and now it's spread to another tree! Help! What is it and how can I get rid of it?
