Hi guys,

I noticed these small, light brown winged insects, along with some tiny bugs (their babies?) swarming all over my basil plants today. They don't seem to fly, but I am not sure.

Are they bad? Any ideas?

Do people still answer questions on this forum? I have a question about a bug I can not identify.

Don't brush fungus off of any leaves, you are just spreading it that way to other areas and other plants. Also do not expect the other plants to be instantly affected, may take a while, even next year.

Hello. Can someone help ID these insects on my bell pepper plants? The first three pics are of the same bugs. The last one is a different bug.

They are crawling all over every single white flower on my Kousa Dogwood. The first kousa didnt take hold and died. Now this one is bigger and had green leaves when planted last year. Went to white flowers, and then red berries. Looked to be thriving. Now this season some of the branches didnt grow leaves. Then the flowers pop open and bam..theyre full of these little bugs. Its definitely not as populated with leaves/flowers/berries as it was last year and im worried these bugs might do it in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure this is a potato beetle on my yellow squash?
Yes, I'm certain.

Yes, Kaliope, that does appear to be a potato beetle!

RobertMountCobb, I'm not sure what you have there. It's too hard to see well enough. It could be some kind of minute wasp but I can't tell if they have wings or not.

They are super tiny. Hard to get a clean pic of. But no wings that I noticed.

The only other thing I can think of is you might check out "thrips" and "thrip nymphs" to see if they look like your bug. I don't know where you are but there are some flower thrips that can be a problem in some places.

I think the beetle on my plant may be the false potato beetle, not the Colorado beetle. From wiki, here is the Colorado beetle.

That looks like a Big Headed Ground Beetle and is considered a good bug because it eats other bugs that might be garden pests. Thumbs up

Can we figure out what these little buggers are?

I noticed a couple dozen of them when inspecting my cucumber plants earlier today. They are very small and if I had to describe them I would say they look like gnat sized tiny gray moths.
