Jeri, Dave wrote "instead of entering a description, you can type in a numeric plant ID code and that plant will automatically be linked to it from the database."
I do these with two windows open, one for the image I am working on and the other to find the entry I need in the database. The plant ID# is on the right side in the blue Actions box or it can also be found near the bottom of the entry also in the Actions section. Just copy and paste that number into the tagged box.

Sue, for some reason that is not working for me. It just shows the BBcode instead of the plant name, and there is no list above the photo.
Is this the code number to use? Job's Beard (Sempervivum heuffelii 'Burgharis') Job's Beard (Sempervivum heuffelii 'Burgharis')
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong? I used that number instead of putting the name in the entry box.

You are using the full BB code, with the brackets right? That's what you use to create the photo link in the threads. You need to use just the Plant ID#, listed right above it. It's actually the same number as the one within the BB code brackets.

I tried it also - cool feature. I will next try to link the plant ID, using double screen sounds like the ticket.

Oh, yeah, it is! And there's no need to worry about spelling when using the plant ID# . Whistling It's already there and correctly written. Saves lots of time since I still need to look many of them up otherwise.

There's a new option for tagging photos:

Rather than enter the Plant ID of a plant, you can now copy and paste a link to the plant's info page.

So, for example, if you're looking at your list of plants and you see a link to one of the plants, you can right-click that link and choose "Copy link location". Then paste that link into your tag's dialog box. It will then lookup for you the ID based on the URL you give it.

It is interesting watching folks try this feature out -- I especially like to see the various planting combos and love the fact that when researching a plant, a link will take me directly to seeing the plant in situ for great ideas. Nicely done, Dave!
