Lots of interesting blooms here. A few of mine bloomed earlier this month and I think at least 3 more are starting to bloom. Will have to get some photos. I have the common kind as far as I know.

I seem to have a lot of late bloomers just starting to show signs of buds. Most of them aren't coning just showing flowers in their middles. My hester isan interesting one - she had no chicks when I bought her a couple of months ago, then threw out a load of chicks, now many of them are starting to bloom, but no sign of momma hen doing the same. Yet at least. I've lost far more to bloom this year than I expected to.

Sorry to hear you've lost so many Kate. It is frustrating. I hope you've had chicks from most of them to carry on.

Been cutting spent bloom stalks. So far none seem to have bloomed out. Appears there are chicks to carry on.

That is good news! I did have a couple bloom with no chicks this year. Not too bad though.
