@2Dogsmother Donna, that's amazing and wonderful... and completely bonkers. (Move over, I belong on the seat next to yours.) Rolling on the floor laughing

I just picked up (7) of my 'four more' on the LA... Two more of Browns Ferry (sold out at BF but not on the LA)...

All beauties, Dianne. Especially love The Night King and Double Figures. I have been a very good girl and have been staying off the LA! Couldn't help myself on Browns Ferry's site! Whistling

@jkporter,
I am going to have to add an image here to remember how to do it myself.

So if you are wanting to post a photo from the database: Pull up the photo then copy the BB code including the brackets. Then paste that code in your post.
If you are wanting to add an image from a post just copy the image then paste it into the post.

@2Dogsmother Thank you, I am in love (yet again) with daylilies coming in the spring to join their friends in the gardens. Hurray!

I am also especially amazed by The Night King, most daylilies have all the patterns and fun on the petals... seeing that white edge and watermark on the sepals is very striking indeed. Lovey dubby

And 'Double Figures' will be the only 'double spider' in the gardens, I have other doubles and other spiders, but not together. It's also tall... 37-inches... so I think it will really stand out.

Like so many of you, taking pics in the gardens in the morning is what gets me out of bed at 5 am. Our long (14+ hour) summer days, I plan on getting wet with the dew just to see what is blooming each day. But I sort of do both... deadhead / take pics as I move through from one area to the next. I carry a garden trug along to deadhead each section, then take pics, then move on to the next area... Wow. Deadheading does make the most amazing difference!

@jkporter I could 'never' count the spent blooms! Blinking But just the thought you found that many on a single morning... I tip my hat to you.
Life is what happens while you are making other plans.

Dianne, I am intrigued by Double Figures. I see that it is a Scott Elliott cultivar. That means it was hybridized in my area.

I see he lists it on his site for $25. Tempting.

Okay, final update. I was looking at non-'last chance' daylilies on Browns Ferry and had to request a couple of 'add-ons' ... All pics are credit to Browns Ferry.

Lots of beautiful daylilies arriving to many of you in spring. There's at least one coming here, an LA "win" which was easy since I was the only bidder.

MP Flower Gardens is one of my favorite daylily growers. They are the nicest people, and Patty has been so helpful to me as I have been learning about the daylily world. I always get big beautiful fans, and because they are less than an hour away, I can usually get the plants back in the ground within 24-48 hours of digging. They have just updated their website with their 2024 inventory. That is both good and bad. Good for my garden Hurray! , bad for my wallet. Rolling on the floor laughing Anyway, I've spent time on this cold rainy morning going through their online garden and have picked a "few" Whistling flowers to add to our gardens in the spring. Not quite sure where, but I'll find space (and hubby always helps Lovey dubby ). Here is what I picked out.

Already on my want list:

Additions to my poly collection:

I saw this one blooming in MP Flower garden when I visited last July, and it really caught my eye.

Addition to my "Bright Eyes" border:

Additions to my tall border:

Addition to my toothy border:

Addition to my "Rainbow selfies" border:

And I also picked out one of Mark's introductions:

Beautiful, Lori! I agree about Patty at MP Flower Gardens--she is wonderful! I usually take advantage of their BOGO sale.

Thanks for the heads up--off to look at their latest inventory.

Well, I just caved after getting my first issue of _The Georgia Daylily_ and ordered several that had been on my radar. I had intended to get them "someday." When I saw the gorgeous photos in the journal, "someday" became "now."

Here's what I ordered:

Don't blame you Nan! I hope Tim Herrington does better for the folks who've ordered it this year than it did for me last year. Began to grow and then went "dormant", at least I hope it is simply dormant and will recover next year. No blooms this year.

@DeweyRooter Nan, Those are all beautiful; certainly they will shine in your garden. Lillian's Ivory Tower looks like a stunning big bloom. Can't wait to see your photos.

Thanks, Lori. I have wanted to try Lillian's Ivory Tower ever since someone posted a picture of it in a "favorite near-whites" thread. (I don't remember the exact title.) It was actually kind of hard to find. The other two are recent cultivars by Tim Herrington, which I tend to collect since they do well here and are often rust-resistant. They were also hard to find, but Shady Rest had them.

I have Lillian's Ivory Tower. It is one of the few Lillian's to survive here so far. I don't think they like the North.

Go to the Plants Database and you will see quite a few pictures of Lillian's Ivory Tower posted by Betty of Bakersfield, CA. It's one of her most favorite daylilies. I didn't know Shady Rest was selling daylilies in the spring--is this supposed to be a clump sale?
