@2Dogsmother Thank you, I am in love (yet again) with daylilies coming in the spring to join their friends in the gardens.
I am also especially amazed by The Night King, most daylilies have all the patterns and fun on the petals... seeing that white edge and watermark on the sepals is very striking indeed.
And 'Double Figures' will be the only 'double spider' in the gardens, I have other doubles and other spiders, but not together. It's also tall... 37-inches... so I think it will really stand out.
Like so many of you, taking pics in the gardens in the morning is what gets me out of bed at 5 am. Our long (14+ hour) summer days, I plan on getting wet with the dew just to see what is blooming each day. But I sort of do both... deadhead / take pics as I move through from one area to the next. I carry a garden trug along to deadhead each section, then take pics, then move on to the next area... Wow. Deadheading does make the most amazing difference!
@jkporter I could 'never' count the spent blooms!
But just the thought you found that many on a single morning...
