Great group of seedlings from Keith! I like 11-143B (Gentle Reminder X Sib). 16-16C (Moonglint X 14-8B) catches my eye also.

Make Up Your Mind is so cool. When they posted it on Facebook I put it on the top of my want list. Hopefully you get some nice seedlings from it, did you just cross it with other plicatas?

Tom.. I did just get out in the nick of time amazed at how much snow fell in a few days and then 50 mph winds and bitter cold the guy that plows for me said I had 6ft drifts in the driveway Blinking so much for having such a mild winter we got more snow in a few days then all last year.. the only good thing about it is the plants have some cover from the negative temps .. and yes in Maui my home away from home and not going back until the snows gone nodding

Daisy.. He has come along way with the luminata's they are really getting impressive beautiful colors and loaded with ruffles

Andrea .. Me too it's been on the want list for a long time really stands out in the garden Smiling

Robin.. That plicata catches my eye every year such a good blend of colors on the falls hoping it has a future in Iowa Crossing Fingers!

Curtis.. I did cross it too one of my darker plicata's and too one of Paul's Broken Colors very curious what comes from it .. quite a bit of seedlings that grew fell should get to see some of them in the spring..

Oh My Yes! 14-73G (Arrivederci X Don't Stop Believing) Wow, I love that one, and that neat colored beard makes it so unique.

18-66F (Desert Trails X 14-38C) is really nice

it is difficult to choose a favorite in this group... The 14-73G seedling has such amazing ruffles! Apparently, Arrivederci is an amazing parent

seedling 18-66F is a plicate with the color combination that I am looking for.. If I'm not mistaken, Desert Trails has a pedigree partially similar to that of the Keppel's seedling 07-176B/ Maybe that's why their descendants come across similar colors..

16-17B It's such an unusual Dark Top! in addition, I have some weakness for a greenish-olive shade...

Here's another group of some of our favorite Keppel seedlings from the past spring most have been around for quite awhile and probably won't make the cut but they can certainly provide us with some winter entertainment and show some of the awesome color combinations and patterns he has created that we are really looking forward to seeing again in May Smiling I especially like 11-75A very unique Plicata grows well and look at the branch Smiling and another that had the wow factor for me this spring was 13-14H I have a thing for the fancy's and this one really stood out in the garden Lovey dubby

Tom.. We had such a good November and December I was worried about what would happen when winter finally found us it made for all the mild temps we had.. the past 2 days have been tenants calling with frozen pipes Crying the 1st was an outside water spicket that froze and burst at the shut off .. thank goodness they heard it and turned off the main before it got to bad Crossing Fingers! were through the worst of it forecast looks above freezing in iowa next week.

Derlyin.. Keith specializes in different Green Grin! especially in Plicata's his are definitely one of a kind.

Serjio.. Arrivederci is amazing parent put pollen on it and good things will pop up in the seedling rows Smiling On Desert Trails it has really good branching and Keith did a lot of work with it in 2018 the results were very good !

Oh my God, Brad!
if I understood the translation correctly, are these seedlings likely not to be introduced? it's terrible (12-100D and 13-58J are my favorites, you've shown them before. I was so inspired by the photos of the 13-58J seedling that I made the same cross last spring (although this is considered a "step back").
I wonder what the pedigree of the 12-100D seedling is? I only found information that the parents are seedlings (09-93 AX 09-90A). I love the color and veins on the standards so much.. It's good that this seedling was involved in hybridization, you once showed a photo of a seedling 15-15A that originated from it. Probably, there should be a lot of beautiful ones too...

Serjio.. He has really cut back the past few years and growing a fraction of what used to be there I know the couple you mentioned are still being grown but in smaller numbers for breeding purposes I really like them both as well very unique flowers but lacking something he required to introduce them but I still enjoy seeing them in the spring even in limited numbers Smiling ..

The 13-58 cross was very good a lot of interesting colors came from that none that he choose to introduce but don't let that stop you I have lot's of plants I keep around as garden pets because there different or I want to breed with them not everything has to be introduced to be kept around ..Mood Ring is an exceptional parent keep working with that one

I don't have all of his older pictures saved on my laptop but I did find 1 picture of the 2 parents of 12-100D and there pedigrees Big Grin as you probably guessed they come from 07-176B it really is one incredible breeder for colors and patterns .. I thought I would show some of his work with the 2 parents over the years and some of the fun things that bloomed from them obviously he is generations past them now but really cool combinations of colors on these.

Oh my gosh...I don't even know where to start with that last several batches you posted. So many are so unique, as others are pointing out, and so beautiful. I guess we can call Keppel, the Plicata King. His Plicatas are just amazing.
Overall, I loved 16-16C a few batches back, and the 15-31B ( Cosmic Voyage X Dancing In the Dark) seedling. I also will take anything with Star Turn as a parent, any day.
15-91A(07-96A X Idle Rich) is another beauty. 16-17B (Secret Rites x House Arrest) X Overview sib) - In total agreement with the others, it's unreal. He just has to introduce this. There is nothing like it, not with that dark of a top.
13-14H (High Desert X Sib to Volcanic Glow) - I don't even like these colors normally but I am strangely and strongly drawn to this one.

And now the plicatas: I think I could name all of them as amazing but here are the very favorities:
12-100D, 07-176B, 11-78E (09-90B x mix signals sib), 12-99D (09-90B x 09-93A),
Pastel Patterns.. 12-103J (09-93A X 07-176B)
I loved how you presented that last group together showing all the variation he has been able to achieve.

Thanks so much for all the beautiful photos Brad! Enjoy your trip!
If you think there is no more beauty left in the world...Plant a garden!!!
