I have a lot of these. Flirty Tease bloomed for me last year, I think it's one of the most amazing irises I've ever seen.

My Flirty Tease died,and was replaced last summer.
It is one I was really looking forward to see bloom.Maybe this year,hopefully.From your picture, Tom,it is really pretty.
I have a lot of the iris pictured above by Brad as well.I bought a lot of Mid-America introductions the year before last and a majority last year.

There is something about I WRITE THE SONGS that is almost haunting.

'I Write the Songs' is a gorgeous color. But it is a late bloomer. Many of Johnson's and Black's introductions are late season bloomers, which I avoid because they get fried in the high temperatures we usually get in mid-May. I thus miss out on some lovely flowers.

I have the opposite issues here, the early bloomers often get messed up with late frost, so I tend to like the later bloomers. I Write the Songs hasn't bloomed here yet, it seems to be pouting a bit since planted. I hope it gets going soon. I just ordered Box Of Chocolates this year. I hadn't noticed it in the past.

Box of Chocolates was another one that died.
It was replaced,too.
I had 5 I think that didn't make it ,all but one replaced.
I know I bought it because it was unusual.
Hopefully ,I get to see these replacements bloom this season.

I had two that died, one was replaced the other one was a bonus.

It's nice to see additional photos! all irises are beautiful, but I have not bought any yet because of the collapse of the ruble, it has become too expensive.. We'll have to wait a few years for the price to drop. I'm just licking my lips for now

Here is another good group that was available last year from Barry Blyth that didn't make the catalog but were on the website I'm missing a couple of his as well he has some gorgeous plants intro'd the past couple years I especially like the Plicata's and have been waiting on this group to go really awesome colors..

I completely missed Paul's plants last year they were in a different area and it can take days to get through the fields there and you still can't see it all I may have some pictures of his taken from previous years on computer at home and will update later.

Serjio.. He had an amazing year for intros really something for everybody there and his 2024 lineup has a bunch of beautiful things in it too they will be well worth the wait ..

Tom.. I missed all of the Luminata's or too far along to get a good picture and I very rarely catch them at Mid America they always seem to be a few days earlier then Keith's not sure why as there a 10 minute drive but they were way past peak when I got there.. You bought a good group last year was told (Just Between Us) has been a really good parent for him you may want to make some crosses with that one..

Andrea.. You asked is (Gone Viral) better then Belle Fille and I think it is a definite improvement its a stunning color in the garden and has the updated form it was one of the few I ordered early so was able to get a piece of it last year that one is recommended

On (Shivers) think of it as Starring on Steroids it has really nice stems and it is as close to black falls as Ive seen the contrast in colors upclose in the garden makes it very appealing he did really good on this one

(Just Between Us )is on my want list for the year I really admire all the work he has done with Bands and have been trying to create some of my own at home this one is at the top of the list to work with he spoke really highly of it.. Congrats on the door prize Running In Circles it is extremely good especially in a clump !

Except for Daughter of Stars, I had been avoiding the purchase of luminatas due to the form issues. But when I saw the pictures of Gone Viral, decided it had improved form, and decided to order it last year. I look forward to seeing it bloom.
