I'm playing around with a new feature that I launched this afternoon: the floating menu bar. When you are on a page of ATP you know that there has always been at the very top, a blue menu bar with valuable links to move around the site.

I now have it set that once you scroll down the page a bit you will see that blue bar follows you, and in fact presents custom options depending on where you are.

For example, if you're looking at a plant in the database Lily (Lilium 'Urandi') for example, then when you scroll down you'll notice options in the floating menubar to upload a photo, post a comment, etc.

Also, when viewing a thread the floating bar will show you an option to watch the thread.

If you're looking at an idea, it will give you a link to view other ideas by that author.

Also, I replaced the "Tree-Mail" text with a graphic of an envelope. If you have new mail, the envelope turns red.

Oh that's why there's a change Where is the log out button now?

I just restarted my computer because I couldn't find the Tmail to the far right of my page.

The more I use it the more I'm liking it. I think you will all find it very convenient.

I replaced the homepage link with a button of a house. Click the house icon to go back to the homepage. Now that is convenient!

Yes, I really like the house and the Tmail buttons and I like them on the left. And I love that the menu bar follows me down the page

Ok but why is the logo in the middle ?

my old hands are trained to go to upper left

Shift-Refresh and see if that fixes it.

along with "watch thread" a button for Jump to end and Back to top would be nice...

The home and end keys on your keyboard do that.

I have a small Mac keyboard - I don't have those keys.... at least not that I know of....

Oh, I can use arrow key with Apple key to go to top/bottom of page, but if more than one page in thread I am out of luck.

OK, my banner is all wonky. I closed down and even restarted my computer. Still wonky banner.

It's kinda artistically fun, broken down into sections with All Things Plants in the center. Still, not a continuous flow banner.
I simply can't get it back in its rightful place.

Sharon, maybe it's a mac thing? The banner is in chunks for me quite often. Always is on the iPad too.

It's never been in chunks for me before - not till right now.

I have the same problem, and I have a Dell, this happened once before when Dave changed something, and I had to send him a screen shot before he believed it wasn't my computer, it was his tinkering..

I hope the wonky banner thing gets worked out for those who have the wonky banner but I this floating bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
