Thanks for all the updates, everyone. Solaris Farms: Intersectional Peonies went online around 11am (around 2 hours after the initial woody and herbaceous offerings). Lower prices than last year on some Itohs. I bought Smith Family Jewel last year for $70 and it's now listed for $45 Hurray! . Other Itohs like Garden Treasure are $35. On the herbaceous side, lower price on beautiful Kayleigh Ann at $125 this year! Lovey dubby ($160-$199 various growers last year).

* Your wish list coming true for less… Priceless ❤️

Adelman is open too. The website seems less easy to navigate, but a nice selection. Lovey dubby

Tracey, agree that Adelman's new site is wonky, slow to load and hard to sort/find but I persisted Big Grin

I had been eagerly awaiting today, I had specific ideas of adding a few peonies to make trios with my existing collection

So I have the following coming:
Forest Shadows and Dark Eyes to place near Black Panther

Pluto & Hades to place near Hephestos

A new trio:
Sonoma Sisters
Banquet
Rainbow Bridge

Adding to Lavender Grace and Anna Marie
Souvenir de Ingo Schiewe

And just because:
Xue Hai Bing Xin

What a great selection of tree peonies, Sulli! I bet your garden will be the bomb in the coming years. Can you share link to your Youtube channel? @SulliO Thanks!

Liz, it sounds like you have a lot of work cut out for you. But I am sure you will be so greatly rewarded with bountiful blooms once the roses and peonies are in their permanent spaces.

I have been wanting Yachiyo Tsubaki TP for a long time after seeing Tracey's and Alex's gorgeous pics of this floriferous TP year after year. I was so glad to see that it is offered by Solaris Farms this year. I put in the order for it yesterday. I also added Jushi TP whose flowers I couldn't take my eyes of. It's an impulse buy! Before my brain could talk me out of it, my fingers had done the deed. But I am really excited about it because I think I might have gotten the last of the Farm's stock. When I came back to look for its pics again, I did not see it offered anymore.

I made good on my resolution to not even look. It was super hard, think I am addicted to peonies! Your Jushi sounds wonderful, Karen! Haven't seen that one that I know of, got Yachiyo Tsubaki a few years ago. Was tempted to look Jushi up but was able to resist when I read that it was sold out, anyway. I'll just look it up in the registry! More incentive for getting everything in the ground this year.

Jushi isn't showing as registered, not all are, though! Was able to find a pic on Halifax. It's a very pretty one! Glad I didn't have the temptation!

I ordered Walla Walla from Adelman's. My garden is full, I will start getting rid of some peonies that do not perform as I would like.

I am trying to not order so many peonies this year.
But I did get these woody peonies from Solaris:

Thumb of 2024-01-04/Mieko2/2e3009

I saw that Dakota Girl at the APS Convention flower show and it was absolutely gorgeous.

I have also heard that Smoky Mountain is a vigorous variety.

Sulli, you really got some gorgeous varieties! They will look awesome in your garden.

Liz I admire your self control. I can't wait to see how the ones you have in airpots perform.

Karen, I know you have to be excited about the varieties you chose. It's so fun to have something to look forward to!

Anya, I hope you can find some room for your new ones.

Scarlet, I let Nate at Solaris know that there weren't any Itohs showing up at all and he replied that he forgot to add them! Rolling on the floor laughing It must be really hard to get everything loaded up each year.
Those prices are really great. At least the website didn't seem to glitch this year.

Good luck to everyone still looking for special peonies.

It is fun to hear what everyone is ordering.
Iam holding back on ordering more, ….until I am sure that I have rid the garden of voles. Might order in the spring . I do not have Liz's self control and am peaking at the sites.
It will be fun to see how all of your purchases flower in future years.

Hi
Twenty new roots arrived today from Eden Brothers sale. Smiling They are to replace the twenty I moved in October for a new fence install. They are as expected 2-3+ eyes. Hope to get them planted in a few days. We had our first snow of the season this morning.

Looking forward to this years blooms and pics.

LG, those are gorgeous choices of tree peonies! Love the colors of Hopeful and Smoky Mountain. The form of Lydia Foote is really special - I look forward to see its flower close up. I hope you will get a bloom this year. Dakota Girl is so pretty. You get a wide range of height with these 4 tree peonies. Interesting to see how high they will get in 4 years time.

I am with you Caroline! It's fun to see what everyone is ordering. Last year, I tried not to look because I know I couldn't resist the temptation. This year, I couldn't resist anymore! I want to know what everybody is getting. I want to be hyped up. Hilarious! Hilarious!

Thanks Liz for mentioning Gary Bieck's photo of Jushi. It is so beautiful. Can't wait to see it in person. I am planning to put it next to Ofuji in my purple/white group. Here's the link in case anyone is interested to see it.

cattleyafan2023, that's a lot of plantings! Hope you get a bout of warm weather so you can get the roots in the ground. You will have a wonderful show of peony blooms in a few years. Thumbs up Thumbs up

I can't wait to see everyone's blooms next year! LG, I've looked at Dakota Girl every year but have decided on other peonies because it says the blooms tilt downward instead of presenting up and out. What were they like in real life?

I noticed a bunch of people ordered danse du feu last year - did it bloom for you guys?
Can you post pics if it did?

I didn't see anyone offering it this year but it looks worth the wait! Itohs seem to like it in my yard - I usually have a ton of blooms by year 2/3. It makes me impatient with my tree peonies.

Good luck with your roots, cattelyafan!

Karen, I think Jushi is gorgeous. I have a friend who ordered it too. Gary told him it is a really great variety. It will look good next to Ofujinishiki!

Zellycat, the only place I've seen Dakota Girl was at the APS Convention Flower show. Here is the photo I took:

The description on Solaris is really good.

I got Danse from the Peony Shop Holland. If I see it offered anywhere this year, I'll post about it.
