I had planned on getting out early this morning to start filling the tilled bed. That didn't happen...it was freezing cold! The temp was 27 but a strong gusty wind out of the north made it feel so much worse. Beautiful sunshine and blue sky all day, I hated to waste it so finally ventured out this afternoon. The house blocked some of the wind and I got 1/2 of the area planted today. Hope to finish it tomorrow before rain/snow on Wed. High today was 51.

Still chilly this morning--45 degrees. Blooms are having trouble opening, and yesterday's blooms are still open. Interesting!

Light frost this morning, no damage so far as I can determine. Predicted high 67, low 45. Sunny, have errands this morning, gardening this afternoon (hopefully, also have a Culligan repairman coming).

Sorry to hear Char and Dianne may be getting snow. Yuck!

That's a Wabash Iris, I have a ton of them.

Beautiful sunny day, 62/38 down here in Providence, where I am stuck all day. First day of the Company tour, so we had a morning rehearsal, an afternoon sound check and an evening concert. Of course, I'm wandering around spending money during the breaks… but I have some great books, earrings and a nice pair of sunglasses that were on sale!

I see that up here Nan, blooms that don't open or two day blooms with cold mornings. CMO is an important trait that Mother Nature helps me select for in the sdlgs. It's so nice to see blooming daylilies, can't wait for July when the daylilies are opening up here!

Yuck is right Donna. I'm hoping it just mixes in with rain and we won't be cold enough for it to accumulate on the ground

Gorgeous spring day today! Blue sky sunshine all day with just a little light breeze. Moved a bunch more plants this morning then errands this afternoon. Temp's were 24 & a warm 68! Tomorrow will be another crazy swing in temps and the weather.

Planted the rest of my Lily bulbs and worked outside this afternoon Low 70s but windy!!! Meesha did good outside but I think I wore her out

It's true, Wabash is purplish at the very bottom, particularly in Spring.

Cloudy, 59/30, hoping everything will be ok the next few days as we dip below freezing every night ( but only briefly). It is supposed to rain on and off until 4 pm. Too bad as I have some time today. Looks like I'll be doing laundry instead of gardening

Gorgeous day for bringing the laptop out on the patio and work out there. High in low 70s.
It is supposed to only be in the low 60s for the next three days but then heating up on Sunday

It has mostly been a cloudy, drizzly day, with some rain showers this morning. Chilly and windy; sun finally peeked through this afternoon. High finally hit 60 after the sun came out though it was in the 40s until mid-afternoon, low tonight will be in the high 30s. Put up my hummingbird feeder, went to the grocery store this morning, and mostly sat on the sofa with a book and dogs in my lap this afternoon.

No sitting outside today, the wind would blow you away. Temps were 37 & 60. Colder air is coming in now dropping the temp down to 41 already. Had some sun this morning so I moved a few more sdlgs before I got rained out. Turns out it was only a brief shower but I had already started cleaning inside by the time the sun returned. Then it rained again, more sun. Skies are clear now with a sunny day forecast for tomorrow.

64/45 and partly sunny today and I get to work outside

Sunny, cool, 57/31. I'm planning on digging in Dragonfish today, which arrived in the mail yesterday. The fan count will also proceed and some light weeding as I go.

Temps going up, 69/43. Still breezy, but mostly sunny. Cooler again tomorrow with rain possible.
