I agree Donna. I think Zoia does an amazing amount of work after all the health issues she has dealt with!!!

That sounds really warm for you, Jill. So far we have only hit 88, I think.

Hilarious! I think hummingbirds hold still longer, except for their wings!

Sounds like a very fun and busy weekend Ginny. A new great grandson that's awesome!

It didn't warm up here until this afternoon. Started with sunshine and 45 but it clouded up close to noon while I was moving plants. I could see rain was coming, plus my radio died, so I called it a day. I had errands to run this afternoon anyhow. The light rain lasted about 2 hours and sunshine returned about the time I got home. High made it to 62. Have the wood stove going taking the chill off so the furnace won't kick on and the radio batteries are charging for tomorrow Thumbs up

Thanks guys! I'm used to spending all day in the garden but after a long winter, it's not so easy to get going. And I had to cart the bricks up in three separate loads from the Patio to the front and those things are heavy!

Hit 90 yesterday. Did not have to deal with that wind, thankfully! Lovely flower Dave. Smiling

Unexpected rain last night and tonight too, 54/44, very cloudy. Up here in Concord NH, I drove straight into a thunderstorm! It's still growling and raining here. I'll check my rain gauge and see what we got today, first time I'm using it in 2024!

69/51, cloudy, scattered showers possible this afternoon and evening. We were supposed to have a bit of rain this morning and that didn't materialize. Hoping for some showers to water the new plants later today. Would be nice to not have to lug the watering can.

Tucson hit 100 on this date last year. Thankfully that is not going to happen this year. Thumbs up

PS, the rain gauge had 3/10" in it. Not a lot but way better than nothing. Looks like it will rain tonight, then all day Sunday. I better get all my castor oil pellets sprinkled tomorrow so the rain on Sunday can soak them in.

We ended yesterday at 92. Very dry here and I think the winds are going to return.

"Rain" yesterday amounted to next to nothing! Bright sunshine this morning, possible high of 77, low tonight 53.

Edited to add: It has been a gorgeous May Day! Not a cloud in the sky in my area though I could see a few over a distant mountain. Beautiful blue skies!!!

Well, for not originally supposed to have rain, it's managed to rain a half inch in the last 24 hours, with more expected every day except Friday and Saturday. Pretty unpleasant out right now, cloudy, 47. It's supposed to get a little sunnier this afternoon and hit 55 but go down to 44 tonight. Today's garden job will be castor oil pellet distribution. But I think I'll wait a few hours until the threat of rain passes and it warms up.

Beautiful blooms Dave Hurray!
68/48 and partly sunny today. Tornado missed us last night but we had a warning. Left soccer game early to miss the predicted hail, etc. Got all but my tomatoes in the raised garden and planted my annuals and pots yesterday Hurray! Hurray! Way ahead of schedule!!! Daylilies starting to ship Hurray! Hurray! We're finally getting nice rains and hopefully avoid a spring drought! Tulip Time festival starts tomorrow but from the crowds you'd think it's already here!!! Rolling my eyes. Amazingly there are still late tulips blooming around town.

Pretty flower, Dave.

Glad to hear you had a gorgeous day Donna. Makes up for all those rainy ones.

Lots of good news Ginny. Wow, our nursery centers are just starting to open but it's still to cold to be planting veggies. Hurray! So glad the tulips have lasted for the festival. It sounds like a really fun time.

Miserable here too, Zoia. Yesterday was showers off and on. More showers overnight left everything wet this morning and today was cloudy with misty rain all morning then around dinner time the sun came out. With the temp in the 40's/low 50's it was cold and wet so I cleaned the house. Hopefully it'll still be clear skies in the morning then I can get outside and maybe finish moving the sdlgs around. Low was 43 high was this evening with 62.
