I am off to dreamland shortly but wanted to touch base before I did.
Thanks to all of you for all of your responses.
I am looking forward to seeing your blooms Cinta!! Thumbs up

My 3 Sedum plants look great, I've taken photos of them and will post them sometime tomorrow.
*Oh wait, it IS tomorrow already as it's going on 2 AM here in WI.*
As an FYI....
My project "transplant" has been put on hold and I won't be getting to that lil' task anytime soon but hopefully will before fall officially shows it's face.
We are having our roof and gutters replaced in September and our contractor can't guarantee that his crew won't trample, brake or destroy ANY of my plants and I really don't want my new Sedums wrecked since they are still in the delicate infantile stages of their lives.
He said that they do put boards over people's plants but they don't always protect them. Grumbling Angry
I just don't want to take any chances w/ my new babies. Smiling
Anyhooch, you can take a quick preview of my babies as I am now using one of the photos as my new avatar.
I'll upload my other photos later today/Sunday.
Nitters all.
Shaw
PS: I just could NOT wait for you to click on my avatar soooo here it is. Rolling on the floor laughing
These are the 3 I kept, I didn't cut the blooms off of these 3 but did on the other 3 that I planted and gave to my 2 daughters and my niece.
Mine look so much prettier than theirs and I am excited as they are starting to turn pinkish colored. Hurray!

SH- Aww, they look great (and I think they know it)!
Also checked out your semp garden and everything looks so prolific and healthy.Hope they stay that way. I love how all your plants are rolling into each other like a loving green community. All of mine are green also. I think you will have cooler temps before I will and so you will get color on your semps before I see any on mine...

Hurray! Shaw, they look great. I can't wait to see the blooms all opened up and pretty dusty rose pink. Lovey dubby
We'll be here when the roof is done. To hold your hand either in joy that nothing was injured, or to share in your sorrow. Group hug

We are getting our roof done in 3 weeks. I know the worry you are experiencing. Crying
I will be thinking of you. Hope both of use will have a happy experience in roofing. Green Grin!

Shaw they look very happy and healthy. Good luck with the workers. Plants are usually resilient and if they are stamped down in the Fall they spring up in the Spring.

Well, I didn't make it back to respond last Sunday, but I am here responding on a new Sunday. Hilarious!
*HAPPY CHURCH DAY U'LL* Smiling
Our 10 yr old G'son was w/ us last weekend and since it was his last week of summer vacay he begged to stay longer and you know if you are a G'ma you just can't say no.... right? Whistling

So... here are the fotos I wanted to share w/ you all.

This is the one I ended up killing during the winter (or perhaps last summer AND fall) and it didn't come up this spring as it's roots and stems rotted.
I know this for a fact because I dissected the soil looking for any form of root life before I threw it away. Sad
I did however have 1 full fall and 1 full summer w/ the lil' bugger.
It was a baby w/ 1 stem and a flower on it when it was given to me.
I can tell just by what's been shared w/ me by you folks that this poor lil' guy/gal looks like I prbly over watered it because it's leaves are too yellow, right?

Here's a close up of the 3 I kept, the buds are starting to color up.
I am so proud of these even though I didn't do much w/ them besides stick them in the containers, check on them a gazillion times a day AND, for once I actually DID NOT over water them. Thumbs up

These are the 2 Autumn Fire's that I got for a song and a dance @ Shopko.
Ok, ok, I really meant for a steal because I can't carry a tune in a bucket and I can't dance either. Rolling on the floor laughing
We shall see if they are indeed Autumn Fire or if someone put the wrong maker tag in the pot because only one of them was officially tagged when I looked @ them @ the store.

All 5 of them together along w/ the lil' dragonfly visitor on top of the lil' one in the middle.

Now hopefully they will all survive until I get them transplanted AFTER the flower stompers come and replace the roof.
And ValleyLynn, you will perhaps be dealing w/ the flower crushers before I will. Sad

Wishing all of you a great-safe holiday weekend. Group hug
Shaw

Welcome Shaw.
Here is what I found on Autumn Joy.
I realize I am late at this picnic but had to add my 2cents.
Your plants look great BTW.

"Sedum prefer full sun and average to poor well-drained soil. Can be divided in spring. No need to deadhead during the growing season. Cut back in early spring, as new growth will come from the ground, first appearing as little nuggets pushing up through the soil. Pinch back once during early summer if height control is desired. "

I see leaf cuttings here as a propogation method

Shaw, the problem with the first plant you pictured in the chair....the soil appeared to be too rich coupled with soil and pot if you left it in that condition in the winter it was a invitation for death. They just do not do good through the winter in pots.

I tried to grow them on my patio in the winter and they did not survive. I have been trying to find plants that will survive in pots for the patio to cut down on buying annuals.

The others, the pic is not real clear. Autumn Joy in my garden is a very dull red. Yours appear to be a brighter red which would be Autumn Fire. The last pic if those stay the white color I would say those are Stardust.
This is Stardust.

Shaw, here is what your Autumn Fire will look like when the blooms open.
The others are correct in that Autumn Joy is a dusty rose color, where the Autumn Fire is almost a red. What a show it will put on for you when they open those blooms.
The plants look wonderful.

I didn't read through this whole thread, so perhaps someone else has offered the same advice.
Sedums are almost impossible to kill. If you, intentionally or accidently, break off a stem, just strip off the lower leaves and stick it in the ground. This is the way I multiply all of my sedums, and I have them coming out of my ears! You can leave them sitting out dry for quite awhile and then stick them in the ground.

Stardust would be good in a moon garden the heads are really big on that one.

Yep the only think that will kill sedum is moisture.
