Elaine, do you grow the Epi magnoliae year around outside?

Very nice, Jim! I like the Bollopetalum. Interestingly I took pictures today from a noid (I bought it last year think), which looks somewhat similar.

Yes, all my orchids live outdoors year 'round. But it's a hardy native here, Ursula, even away from the coast and north, where Mj is. She has 11 acres Northeast of Orlando, and just picks them up off the ground on her property. It's somewhat colder in winter where she is than here.

Since my oak trees have the same Resurrection ferns on their branches as you see growing around the little orchids, I figured they'll probably do fine and maybe even multiply here. If they make seed pods this year I'm going to perch them up in my oak tree so they'll release the seeds in an appropriate spot.

I shot another picture with my finger in the frame for size reference. The flowers are about the size of my fingernail, leaves about 2in. long.

Ahh, thanks Elaine.

Another month from now and I will be looking at carrying stuff back inside. I finished scrubbing out the greenhouse - it took a few weeks....

Here is the Zygo hybrid/noid I was mentioning earlier. It is not scented. ( Booo Thumbs down Smiling )

Ursula, your Zygo hybred does have a lip like my Bollopetalum. Also, very nice Caulocattleya Paul Vondersaar.

The electricity shut off in the gym this morning almost tossing me off the treadmill. I hate it when that happens!

Out in the OC this morning, this Potinara Elaine Taylor 'Krull Smith' FCC/AOS opened. I love the color.

Yes, I haven't see her around for a while. Bree, you are missed!!
Jim, is your Bollopetalum scented? Zygopetalums usually are, I think. So Bollopetalum makes sense.

Does that happen often at your Gym? Not good.

Pretty Potinara! Lovey dubby

I just went out and took a sniff. I would have to say it has a very slight perfumey smell but you have to get right up next to it to notice.

This is only the second time the electricity has gone out at the gym in the last 15 years. I had to use some fellows cell phone to get enough light to open my locker. I left before the problem was solved. I used the time to get some yard work done before the heat set in.

Holy cow, is it ever hot outside!! I hear thunder in the distance so perhaps we will luck into a cooling shower.

Tomorrow I'll be chasing palms in Sarasota and I just spoke to Rafael at Plantio La Orquidea and told him I will be there around noon. This is the place where I got both my (years ago) and Kathy's David Sander.

Have fun, Jim. He's a great seller! I'll tell my D Sander about your trip. Maybe it will inspire it to bloom....

The Pleuro is just the right size to appreciate the flowers with the naked eye, unlike most of my minis! nodding
Ursula is it the same as you grobyi? Some don't have the stripes.
