There are 11 species of Grammatophyllums and I think the dark colored one in your photos is Gram. speciosum, famous for being the largest orchid in the world. They claim there are some with 8 foot pseudobulbs. That is even too big for the OC! I'm not sure what the name of the green one is but it has all of the markings of a Grammatophyllum. Mine is the Gram. scriptum and here is a picture to compare:
It seems like a while since anyone has posted a big floofy Catt. so here is Blc Paradise Jewel 'Flare'. It started to open yesterday.
Also, Bollopetalum Midnight Blue 'Cardinal's Roost' is fully open:

My big floofy guys are developing sheaths over the Summer, so this is a nice sign of things to happen. But nothing now!
Jim, your 'Flare' is outrageous!
Love the Bollopetalum too! Gorgeous color !
Btw the blooms on my noid are mildly scented, but the scent gets drowned out by the C loddigesii x walkeriana next to it right now. I really have to put my nose into the blooms to get the scent.
Jim, i just wanted to let you know, the Anguloa Dubia bloom is still alive. It has been in the cage the last few days, so it got a bit spotted. But here it is!
Vandofinetia White Crane ( V. sandersiana v.alba x Neofinetia falcata) opens a spike.
Jumellea comorensis is a rambling fairly large plant and always looks a bit messy, but it flowers pretty much year around nowadays. It is rare not to see a bloom somewhere on this.
and Coelogyne Burfordiense managed to produce an extra spike this Summer.
I just love that Anguloa Dubia bloom, Ursula. Anything different like that is worth having. The rest are nice too, especially the Coelogyne Burfordiense. The Jumellea comorensis plant looks huge. Very nice show.

Thanks. Now trying to locate another Dubia.
The Jumellea comorensis is scented, not too strongly, but I get sometimes a light whiff of Cinnamon mixed with something "green".

Lovely posts all. I hope to have the beginnings of something Catty when I get home on Friday if the scale and black plague haven't had their way too much.
