The weather was so mild today, the snow totally gone so I took Lily on an extra long 4 1/2 mile exercise walk.

Yeah usually napoleon syndrome.. smaller they are the more brazen.. Riley at 5 pounds yells at me all the time if I am not in his reach.. through the glass door or Windows.. he is too much

You know you love him! I walked Nicki this morning at 9....thought everything was just wet....temp was 40.....well, when I got to the bottom of the long hill, I found myself on black ice! Thank God I had boots on & my walking stick....I managed to shuffle off into the grassy area....Nicki thought it was fun!

So I took Lily for a nice 3 mile walk earlier this afternoon. Sunny out and wasn't bad out. But those temps are dropping as it is cold outside now than it was before even though the sun is still shining.

I walked the same trail in the afternoon, & everything was dry, it was so windy.....and yes, the temp dropped like a rock! Met a bird watcher I know, & we saw a pileated woodpecker, so it was a nice outing.....this morning, my friend's name was in the newspaper's nature column because he saw a Northern shrike......rare for us! He never said a word.....I told him about the dead weasel I found....he thought it was funny the woman ranger took it!

we got home pretty much just in time from our exercise walk as now there are snow flakes comming down!

Lily had to get her delicate little feet wet and actually walk on a dusting of snow on our exercise walk today.

Deb, that was too funny! Sounded just like a cat! Poor Lily..hope she didn't mind too much...no snow here, but there was a 1/4 inch on the other side of town!

I had to resort to giving Harper some Valium yesterday for my party. She did so much better with it, she even let people pet her which she never does. I was happy for her, sounds corny but it was nice to see her a bit relaxed and getting to enjoy some loving from other animal overs. Everyone was really good with her too. All the kids were great with her her and all were very gentle and not overbearing. So good to be around kids who have learned about animals!
Winston truly enjoyed all the attention he got and was running around the yard with the kids like crazy!

Sounds like it was a great day.....Nicki (and I) could use some Valium when we have company....or when we walk....or play....Yeah, she's pretty wired! Glad Harper was able to be petted.....that helps with the anxiety.

Wow, Lily got an extra, extra long walk today. First I did my exercise walk and then my friend came by so we went on the mile loop. Come back see our friend with her two greyhounds and go off again on a walk together. Now I am so poofed!!
