Hope all is well there

Deb....posters are just too cute! I went upstairs to visit with FeeBee.....she put her paws on my shoulders & kissed every inch of my face! She's doing well, Garret let her come down & say 'hi' to everyone else, & go on a potty break.......I tried to get a photo of her.....was not successful....she just would NOT stay still for a second!

Sweet girl had a happy break.

I walked Nicki this afternoon just before the rain started.....a couple was walking a tan & white pap....so cute! He strutted along like he was a Great Dane! Yesterday, at my son's, my DIL's aunt said she lost her last Newf a few weeks ago....he was almost 15....the one who passed last year was 13....they are adopting 2 more, don't want the work of a puppy.....they have applied for a 4 year old female....just waiting for a younger male to come into the rescue.....I don't know how they do it, she & her DH are close to my age....I can just about hold Nicki on a leash!

That's cool about the Newfs, we are thinking that will be our next dog...hubs says he wants a new breed a change from a Great Dane...this will probably be our last big dog.

Yup, Papillons are usually friendly outgoing spiffy little dogs.

Ronnie, Newfs are drool machines! I would get another standard if I could find one like Nicki....she's so good.

Lily had a nice day today. First we went on a long exercise walk with an entire bunch of people and dogs. Then later we dropped by Zack's house and Lily visited with Zack on the front porch while us ladies chatted and drank beer.

Sounds like a happy day for everyone! My favorite trail was still icy yesterday afternoon, even after all that sun & warmth...can only walk in one area, & I'm getting bored with it.....Nicki likes it because she can bark at the ravens.....

Yeah, he's wants a big dog still as a watchdog, didn't want a mastiff because of the drool

Irish wolfhounds drool only a little, & that's when they see food.....ours was a good watch dog....and a smarty to boot!

many terriers are small, but good watch dogs, how about a big terrier--no drool.

I like the Wolfhounds but no go on that, I like the Giant Schnauzer too. He said it had to be his pick this time....I only agreed to that if I liked the breed too, since I am the caretaker
I like the Saint Bernard too but the Newfies are a bit better with kids...we had a Saint when I was a kid and she was very picky on who she liked and didn't like.

Guessing it will be a larger Breed.. but I have to say my dad's pick of half poodle and half schnauzer is a great choice.. he had 3 so far .. all great dogs

Love big dogs, but I am too lazy...I mean my yard is too small to have one.

Giant schnauzers are tough dogs....we had a mix of G.S. and Labrador.....Biscuit....she weighed 95 pounds, & loved the kids...BUT, she was a great watch dog, very fierce when she needed to be...look carefully at them. Not sure the purebreds are friendly. There's always the spinone...big dogs, big goofs....at least FeeBee is....she loves everybody! And there's a breeder in southwestern MA.
