I do have great soil on my gardenbeds. From years of compost and mulching heavily. I could never plant all these bulbs if I had hard to work in soil.

Finished for the day. Planted 600 crocus and mulched them real quick by spreading some straw over them. Eating spaghetti and meatballs now for dinner.

I feed them birdseed. You think they would be grateful enough with that!

Tomatoes and cucumbers. Still getting nice yields of tomatoes and cucumbers every few days. Just picked these this afternoon.

LOLOL Every time I see this thread title in the recent threads in the bottom of my home page, I think I forgot to delete an old Porch Swing thread on the daylily forum! It confuses me having a thread titled the same as one over on there! Guess I will eventually get used to it....

Juli, is there any way the name can be changed on this one? Like to The Back Porch or something?

Here is the area worked on Sunday. I call this raised bed the planterbox. It is 16 feet long by about 4 feet (over 4 feet I think) wide. It looks ratty and not much going on but mid summer it looks stunning. But needed work for spring.


Here is a summer picture of that area.


Now a closeup the way it is today. You can see row one of daylilies but can barely see row two. But directly in back of row two was where the big trench was dug and the 800 bulbs planted.

That is a wonderful raised bed! I love those stones and the wavy outline. That would look good if it was just full of weeds!

I try to keep it all free of weeds!

I wonder if the original poster could change it? Not sure????

Or some other catchy phrase to indicate a chat thread for this forum????

Juli, you aren't alone! I've posted things here that I meant to post on the other thread. Then I repost them on the other thread! So, I'm repeating myself! If there is a moderator for the vines forum, maybe they can do it. It really is confusing! Love "Under The Grape Vine"! That is perfect!
