Duering the holiday lull I have put together my orders for perennials.
I will use Santa Rosa, Bluestone is just too expensive not to mention the coir pot thing.

Jo Ann, before you know it winter will be over. So far from all the catalogues I have seen the prices have increased exponentially for this coming season. I am aware that everything is going up which necessitate some of the increase. I will be working with my seeds this year along with the ones I got from elsewhere. My Delphinium seeds that I got from a special friend from Europe will be a priority also.
Catalogs are arriving daily. It is always so enjoyable to look through them and think about the possibilities for the next gardening season. I usually find myself ordering things off and on over the winter, not actually thinking about the cumulative volume until everything starts arriving at once in the spring. Then I SWEAR to myself I'll show restraint next winter... and the cycle repeats LOL.
Lovely Christmas decoration photos. Wishing you all the best this new year!

Ginny, Ginny, those tree rats will drive us mad if we let them. I thought I got rid of one that ate through my gazebo screen last winter and made a nest. This past summer we rescreened it and much to my chagrin I discovered that they have taken up residence again a few weeks ago. We will see
I took the first of the year Deck Shots yesterday as we are having a snow storm today.
It looks pretty bare and I have to say my garden helpers did a great job of cleaning and weeding even there were a couple of casualties.
