Thanks Margaret. Henry's Fork is known for the Rainbow's but I will also fish Yellowstone and the Madison so Browns are a possibility as well.

Good fishing to you Dave. Good Monarch shots.

Had 7 BF kinds today in the yard, inc. a Monarch, unfortunately, the 2 pics I had didn't make the cut.

All beautiful butterflies J! I really love the simplicity of the cabbage whites.

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! for you Dave on the Monarch! Hurray! Hurray! And I don't think it's silly at all for a 63 yr. old to get so excited about such a thing. Maybe if more people had been so excited by such 40, 50, 60 & 70 years ago; we would have so many more around & honey bees & bees in general would not be in decline & the ozone layer would not be what it is today &.........
Have a great time fishing! I hang out a lot on the daylily forum & daylily chat thread --- we have a member who recently moved to Idaho & 1 of the major reasons was her husband loves to steel head (I think it's steel heads) fish. They are almost directly on the river (I forget which river). I have learned so much about Idaho through her & her photos of it. Wolves, coyotes, bear, turkey, deer, & this year an overabundance of yellow jackets.

Glad to see the Monarchs aren't just hanging down here in my peninsula of a state. I've been reading so many articles lately about their population decline but then one of my Facebook friends in NC just saw her first and now we have one in TN! Let's hope this year's migration is better than the last!

So far I've got Queen cats eating milkweed. Would love to have the Monarch cats also!

If I get the time and retain focus to remember I probably could, I made a Wishbone banner that got used but that seems a while ago. Thanks for the idea.

Tattered but still such a pretty B'fly! It sometimes amazes me how damaged their wings get and yet they still fly.

I had a Black ST emerge after months in its chrysalis. I don't know what kind of timetable these things are on?!

I also spotted a White Peacock chasing a Cloudless Sulphur when I got back from the store but I didn't have my camera on me. Still, it's nice to see a variety in the garden.

J: Lovely shots; I especially like the first one with the two Buckeyes and the Bee in flight!

Melanie: Beautiful Black Swallowtail; I guess as long as there are still nectar plants blooming they will find them. That Zebra Longwing looks a bit chewed up but still a pretty B'fly. I bet that was interesting seeing the White Peacock chasing the Sulphur ... I didn't realize B'flies were territorial but I guess when food sources dwindle they are like any other critter. Smiling

There were lots of Skippers about this morning, on the wild morning glory and other plants:
