Luckily I was strong and only ordered 4 from Maryott's. I think I'm out of room in the veggie garden! Well, if I still want to have veggies, which I do!

I already have my IRISH CROWN, a 2014 introduction that I ordered from Bill Waldrop a week ago. I received it yesterday, and rather than send a fan of another plant he sent an extra fan of IRISH CROWN as a bonus -- absolutely love it and I'm totally thrilled!

It's really hard to get the daylilies out of these big pots too. You can't get a shovel into the pots and get any leverage. So I HATE digging them.

I have Bill Waldrops "Irish Halo" and just love it.

Dot, I got IRISH HALO this year from Bill Waldrop, plus three or four others from Bill Maryott and John DeMory, but the only one that has bloomed for me so far is IRISH HALO. And I instantly loved his new IRISH CROWN when he posted the picture as a promising seedling a while back, so when I saw he was introducing it I just had to order it. And for a new introduction it was quite reasonable, so I jumped at it. The parentage is (Leslie Renee x Angels Gather Around) X (Leslie Renee x Angels Gather Around).

Since Michele has already posted his picture of his THE STING, I'll go ahead and post his picture of IRISH CROWN too. And I think you can see the chartreuse edging in his picture.

OOOOO yay i just got my first boxes of fall! I got a MONSTER fan of Blue Beetle from a trade here..(thanks JWWC) Shining Eyes ( an oldie but has a metallic eye) Metallic butterfly...and just won a long -time want Wild and Wacky with The Owl thrown in....I see a lot of digging in my future!

Blue Beetle is the daylily that got me started on hybridizing! I've never owned it, but as soon as I saw a picture of it, I knew that I just HAD to give this a try!

Well the box I got delivered had purple cheetah in it. But I did something fun this weekend and went to the CMDS sale. And I got some
nice daylilies somebody let me loose in the candy store. they had a lot this year.

I'm holding off on my Born to be Wild for a couple more weeks. I don't want to lose it to 100 degree heat.

I haven't had any problem with having daylilies shipped in our 100+ heat so far. I soak the roots overnight before planting and then pot them up and keep them in partial shade under my pergola for a week or two, and I haven't lost anything yet. Plus Floyd Cove sends such huge plants -- love it!

Blue Ridge has shipped my daylilies, I will be on my porch Thursday morning until the box is in my hands, shovel beside me. I ordered 5 but Bob usually sends few more surprises. Can't wait !

Yay! I have a couple orders that should be delivered today. One big from the auction and one small.

They were shipped the same day - one from Virginia and one from about 20 miles away. The USPS is an enigma sometimes.
