Answered my own question -- Haunting IS a rebloomer -- and a beauty, too!

Yes it is Mary Ann as you found out. My latest fascination is all things "Crump". I like his intros, he is local (sort of), and he is neat to talk to. He has been doing alot with re-bloomers. My latest idea is to try and cross my three favorites together (Innerest, Crump, Joan Roberts). More so Roberts & Crump. If Haunting makes it to bloom, I will be capturing the pollen to use next Spring as I do not see Haunting blooming in the Spring.

In anticipation of very low overnight temps, I went ahead and cut the not-yet-blooming stalks off of Amain several days ago. They are blooming in my kitchen window right now. Here's a photo:

Wow! Wouldja look at those beautiful flowers??!!! All I've got blooming here is a Thanksgiving Cactus! And one reblooming Iris. Yours looks like the Garden of Eden!! I wish you would consider submitting some of those photographs to Zanymuse at Cubits for jigsaw puzzles. I would love to see them there -- and work those puzzles!

Awesome pictures I wish I had a little slice of that in my back yard right now just spent the day cutting down all the dead stuff and mulching the roses for winter it is nice to see summer blooms are still going on somewhere.

One more day, then I will get back on topic.

Easy Does It. We had a light freeze last week and the colors are much more distinct than is usual on this bloom.



Except for summers picking strawberries and corn at my grandmother's, never had any garden experience until I got this house in 2004. In my naiveté, I planted this now-monster climber between the garage and back fence corner. A few weeks ago, I tried to cut it way back so it could be dug up and moved. Discovered from direct, personal experience with the end of my nose that a wasp's nest was hiding under all those canes. Will wait until January to try again.

Never been stung before. It hurt, but surprised me that it didn't hurt more. Have MS and one of the symptoms is some numbness in my face. Whodathunk I'd be grateful for it?

I guess that proves there is an "up-side" to everything ,if you just look for it! I'll bet that rose has a HUGE root system, besides those "extra" thorns!...Arlyn

yeah, i have some concerns about that, arlyn. going to be a tough dig. there is an ivory climber buried underneath it that is not nearly as aggressive and the plan is to let that one try to flourish. of course, if i had paid attention and done some book-larnin' in the FIRST place...
