Dana, I could sure use something done with my hair. Wish you were closer too. :-)

Kathy, Oh, I like the sound of that name 'Little Red Spring Song'. Gonna have to look that one up.

I started a thread on minis if any of you want to add to it. Looks like it came up as a subtopic on this cubit. Maybe I did it wrong.

Susan, you did fine making a new thread.
Everyone can find it by clicking on "Your Favorite Daylilies" - it does not come up automatically as a thread that has been updated.

Here is a link if you get lost.... LOL

Dana, I have it too. It hasn't increased very good for me and blooms have just been so so. But I don't think it was happy where it was planted. I moved it last fall and amended the soil real well. Something I failed to do the first time. So I'm hopeful it'll improve. Especially after reading how well it does for Kathy.

Susandonb, have you ever visited The Lily Auction? If you want to see a lot of pretty daylilies that is the place to go. You can look at them by price range too and can find many nice ones $20 and under right now. Warning: It can be addictive and hard on the budget. Another good place for photos is the gallery on mydaylilies. There are an endless about of beautiful ones.

Also many many nice ones in the under 7.00 catergory. Paying more does not mean you will get better only that you paid more!
I always check there first if I found one for over 7.00, lots of times you can get it cheaper. Have bought from many sellers over there and had only 1 I was not too happy with thus far.

I can't remember exactly, but I think there are between 50,000 and 60,000 different registered daylilies.

Of course, many are similar in appearance, but many are so distinctive you can pick them out in any garden.
