Me either, Lin, and time for new bifocals! Either cute little green critter is welcome here! But yeah, the latest pic was a frog, the bright light green kind with a yellow stripe on the side. Big adorable eyes. Same kind as in Ginger's avatar pic, as far as I can tell. I'm not an expert on frogs for sure but know I love seeing them. Preferably outside though. No idea where that little guy went. It was so cold outside when I saw him there. Hopefully I'll spot him again when it's warm out & put him back in his natural environment. Probably should have right away, but, the cold, you know, I just couldn't.

Tara, any idea why? That's not right.

I agree, Tiffanyโ€ฆIt's not right that we don't see these guys anymore. It scares me, because their presence, or lack thereof, is to my mind a barometer of the environmental health of an area. I have heard that the Cuban Tree frog has come into Florida, and apparently have migrated into the northern part of the state as well, though I've not witnessed them personally. These invaders are known to eat our nativesโ€ฆNot just our toads and frogs, but also snakes and lizards. Quite depressing! You can read more about them here, if you're interested. http://ufwildlife.ifas.ufl.edu...

Just breaks my heart to think that this may be the reason that we've not seen our little beauties in a long while now! Crying

Thought I'd end the year with a strawberry begonia and Hedera helix sagittifolia . I always wanted the strawberry begonia the hedara just looked so inviting and I love the leaf shape. I think I may start collecting the begonia.

Nicely done, AR!

And thanks (really late) for the link, Tara. Looked at it again just now in case I see one of these frogs, I hope I'll recognize it.

These can live outside, Opuntia found in someone's yard trimming pile over the weekend.

These are outside plants, but also found yesterday, in the empty lot next door - hundreds of Lycoris radiata bulbs.

These babies forming on Kalanchoe x houghtonii leaves are definitely my 'newest' plants today (although I've had the mama for a while!)
