Mike, but from the sounds of things, my climate here in FL is pretty similar to Glen's, so I have no excuse to be without daylily blooms nearly year 'round either.
Must admit, though, I've always planted them on the north side of the house so they are shaded in winter. Figured this gives them a little bit more of a rest than if they were out in blazing Florida sun all year.
But since I got so many new daylilies this summer, I may try a few out in the south facing front bed to see how they fare. Seeing Glen's year round bloomers, I'm guessing not all daylilies need a dormant period.
