I kept mine in a container this time, so I could put it on the covered deck this winter. Seems to have worked well.

It's getting ready to bloom. Wow, and it is still February. Wonder if that means it will have plenty of time to set seed? Hurray!

@CD'sSister, thank you so much for these plants Marilyn. Group hug

I tip my hat to you. Hurray! Hurray!
I will be watching to see how the flower looks. I am so very glad it looks like it is going to bloom. Is that a tender succulent in with it? Do you keep it on the porch or inside?

Thank you all. I am so excited and can hardly wait to see the open blooms. I will try to get a macro shot of the flowers.

That is Dudleya farinosa growing with it. It is hardy here in my zone 8. It grows along the Oregon Coast on those giant rocks that are out on the beach. During high tide the rocks are surrounded by water. The Dudley plants grow high up on the rocks, along with a lovely species of Sedum spathulifolium.

I wish all of you could have been there to see the Dudleya growing on those rocks. The colors were amazing, and they had just finished blooming, with just a bloom here and there still showing. I would love to go back when they are in full bloom, probably about July.

I'll try to get a photo in the morning. I'm trying to figure out how to collect the seed, and how will I know when the seed is ready?

Lynn the seed is very small, and good luck, I caught the seed by putting small pots under the flowers Shrug! It worked and they germinated, and then I didn't water as I should have and they died Thumbs down I'm not so great with seedlings I tip my hat to you.
Julia sorry yours died Sad
