Gardenplants, these are tough plants and stand a lot of abuse. The one above had a rotten spot all the way through the caudex. It is fine now after cutting out the rot.

Well, what can I post? Aha, that frightful beetle I found on my back porch. An invader from Thailand, bores into Mango tree trunks. Someone elsewhere on the island found another one the same day.

And a seeeeddddd pod, one of several I have Skipper butterflies, supposed to be a pollinator. This adenium has a nice red flower, sparse, but seems to always have a few blooms at any time. Not grafted.

He looks rather like Darth Vader. REALLY gave me the creeps while I was taking his picture, I'd put him in the freezer, but impatience got the better of me. He'd been chilling for about a half hour when I got him out and was clicking the camera shutter. Then, he started slowly moving. Creepy! back into the freezer. I'm going to take him to the Agriculture Department and see what they can tell me about him. I do know he's a native of Thailand and Cambodia. No, didn't get here via my imports!

While I am at it, off topic, here's a STINKY toadstool thing, hollow. Phew, stinky!

Life is weird, hey! This is the flower of a Baobab tree. Or the flower bunch (??) I'm guessing the little flower sticking out of it is a flower. The round bit is a little bigger than a tennis ball.

Here's the trunk of the tree. Fat!

OK! And an Adenium! For some odd reason, I bought two of these, they're so red! from Khwarunee (ebay) in Thailand.
