Doris, have a GREAT fun time!
Hum, the 100 little ones were grown with lots of water and manure. The man "pulled" them from cellpacks, ripping off most of the roots, then they were in the box from Saturday to Thursday when I got them, and I planted them the next day, looking sad. I checked them a few days later, and some were rotting at the bottoms, no roots to use moisture. So I took them out of the 100 pots, erghhh, and put them all in a tray with damp mix, but that was no good, I moved them again into almost dusty dry perlite, and Rootone, and chopped off all the leaves. The plants had strong tops, and rubbery bottoms. not good. I hope they live, but will be surprised if they do.
I think the plants are about 6 months old. Grown with too much nitrogen. Little caudex development.
Andi, for Big Bottoms, get a bag of Potash, and add a little to your watering/feeding schedule. I mix potash with a super bloom sort of fertilizer, about 1 spoon potash to three spoons of super bloom. The first # should be smallest, and the last largest, like, instead of 10-10-10, or, 15-35-15, more like 1-2-3, or some multiple of that. We're not growing lettuce! haha.
Can't believe I sent Ebay money for more plants! The grower named khwarunee. A near-black, a double pale yellow, and a fragrant double white. Hum. I hope they are at least 50% as nice as they are supposed to be. I've been happy with this seller in the past.
