I love your August Flame, it seems brighter than the others I have seen.

The bed of hostas is so stunning, Mike! All the photos are great! Picasso and SPV are so lush and the flea market find suits you to a tee!

Why do so many of us start huge projects in the heat? LOL

So much has been said about the Lily trees but here's Purple Prince so you can decide if you like it. Don't believe the dark purple photo online! It's some form of pink to magenta. It was over 6' in 2012, 2' in 2013 thanks to the deer attacking it.

Nice! Most of the reviews I read say it is really pink. I do not really like Breck's. Where did you get yours?

Julia, glad you are doing better. I rented the sod cutter for four hours. I cut a lot of sod and took it back before I incurred any extra charge. I got Metrosexual on the LA from "Possumhollow". I planted it in the fall of 2012. It really got going later in the summer as far as foliage/fans are concerned. She has a taller and bigger sister name "Grasshopper".

I got mine from Dutch Gardens (NOT Dutch Bulbs).

The others (not Purple Prince) that I ordered from Breck's were pathetic. Some were not even the color shown. Half were right, half wrong and most had a virus.

Arlene, I take "Centrum Silver". It would be the other one for you. I had a friend helping me. Not even Gatorade did us any good. My bulbs came from Brecks or Springhill. I still have the brochure with the pictures of the ones I bought. 4+ yrs ago.
Susan, the large group of Hostas came with the house. They were in full sun initially. I relocated them to more of a semi-shade. Didn't research the name.
For those who are curious about the face. That was before the hair cut. I am 5-10 in front of three of my Lily Trees, Orientpets or whatever. These are my tallest.

What is Centrum Silver? Do you have to have gray hair to take it? I have not seen my real color in years!

Send me a close up of your Hosta and I will try to help you identify it. I had about 9 of those old MIDNIGHT RIDE that came with this house. I kept dividing them and ended up with 36 in only two years. I gave them to a neighbor and she planted them around her patio.

O K I dont know how to respond to the thumbs and acorns gardeners are giving me except to say a general thank you.
I dont ignore them but there should be a Daisey I can return as a thankyou back to the gardeners who post.

Some people send me private t-mail as a thank you note for acorns. It is a good opportunity for me to ask more questions or dumb questions that I might not ask on the forum. It always makes me smile.
The thumbs seem to be more of a score card type thing. While on a thread I like to give a thumb to the best post and on the database you can give a thumb to the best picture.

I bought these as lily trees, then I read your article.Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Lots of hard work. You all know what I am talking about. Nothing like work you enjoy!!
