The sun really shows off the sparkle and crepe like texture.

Glad to see someone is posting. That is quite an impressive Apple Blossom for being its second season in your home. I'm going into Amaryllis withdrawal, waiting for the last two bulbs to bloom. It got quite chilly in Florida about two weeks ago, so I finally brought the bulbs into my sunroom. Unfortunately, the bulbs decided to rot when I went away for a week. I think it got too damp and stuffy in the closed up porch. It will be a 50/50 chance of getting blooms before the bulbs completely turn to mush, so I am not getting my hopes up about these last two. The outside bulbs have now lost most of their leaves, and will start putting up new growth in about 3 weeks.

That is too bad about your bulbs rotting, Sad But you will have lots more later in the season when those that are planted outside boom.

I have 6 more to bloom, I will be really pleased if they put on a show like Apple Blossom. Stardust put up a third stalk, that is 3 out of 4 bulbs from Royal Colors that gave me 3 stalks per bulb, so far only got one from Charisma.

Those are fantastic pictures Margaret!
I really like Apple Blossom and find it to be a fairly 'easy keeper' with my way of not doing it right.
I have two, they are 'thinking' about it, and will get around to blooming again later this spring and I'll just let *your* photos do the talking...
but...
I have this one now just starting

Sorry, I don't know what it is. It is very short, with tiny trumpet-like flowers

Diva from Royal Colors finally bloomed. A very attractive pink raspberry color with a crepe like texture.

Finally found the record--that little washed out pink one above the gorgeous crepe-y raspberry is 'Misty'--
now with 'Amputo' a few days ago:

This one actually does have a nice fragrance.

I think I aggravated my papilio. I wanted it's pot for someone else about a month ago so I took it. Poor thing got mad, gave up on most leaves and then sent up this rather pitiful 2-bloom statement as of today:

Thumb of 2014-02-08/dirtdorphins/d56b9f

--still beautiful, but way below it's potential that I apparently ruined Thumbs down I hope that it recovers well enough to try again next year...

Very nice Dirt. My Papilio decided to do the same thing even though it was in the same pot, I cut all the yellowed leaves off and put it in a dark cool cupboard in the mud room to rest for awhile, we shall see what happens in a few more weeks

Last year I started this thread. The thread "Size difference question?" in Amaryllis and Hippeastrum forum
Thumb of 2014-02-08/mcash70/56f86e

Just wanted to show you the difference this year, I babied that weak little bulb and this is what it looks like today, she is on the right, the other one is on it's second bloom stalk which is shorter than the first one was.

Aphrodite is a very large heavy bloom, I love the way it's layered. Lovey dubby
