Lucy nice to see you. How is your grandbaby doing?

Hi Jan- Sunshinesw! How is the seedling holding up? Mine are about 4 feet tall now and the cutting is doing great. I checked on it yesterday and it had new leaves coming up.

Good morning everyone, Jim, get ready to do it again, if Ft. Lauderdale is going down to the hi 30s tonight, I can only guess how cold your going to get. And your right, it's a real chore in and out---out and in! Not to mention that some one seems to always knock over a tray or two of my potted desert rose every cold spell. Is anyone other then me going to deep water their stuff in the ground? It seems to have worked well for me during the last cold snap.

I was late bringing in my adenium seedlings last time and lost quite a few. Others I had to trim off the tops that were wilted to save the rest of the plants. Will have to bring em in again tonight.

I've heard others say the deep water thing helped--I personally just plain forgot because I was so busy covering everything else,( which in the long run really didn't help at all if the temp says below freezing for 6-8 hrs.), and just ran out of stuff to cover with.........

Jan, do you have any in the ground? I can only hope that mine make it, I guess it was a mistake digging 4 of mine up to raise the caudex, I should have waited till all danger of cold was over, I don't know if they will stand two shocks so close together (raising them and the cold snap coming)

Jim, your hat reminds me of last year when I was invited to meet a group of people from D.G. at Monts sale, I told them they would recognize me by by goofy wide brimmed straw hat. When I got there I had to laugh, there had to be hundreds of guys with wide brimmed straw hats, I should have said look for the one with the large sweat stain. Never did meet up with them at Monts.

I wear a sweat band with mine in the summer, but it still gets soaked. Got that at tractor supply. Wanted a good one that would last awhile. When I wear that with my DG apron, shorts, and yard boots, the wife says I look like Mr. Greenjeans. I said "thats the look I want". Don't care about the fashion statement. Maybe I'll take a pic of myself this summer......

Yea Jim, I like the way you think. I'd go for that with a shirt that read "I'm retired, I'll dress anyway I want too. I agree

Good Morning all, maybe I'm beginning to get the hang of finding the threads I want now, it didn't seem as difficult as yesterday to locate this room. Darned if I didn't forget to bring in my pitcher plant last night, but it seems it didn't get quite as cold as they first predicted. I think it's going to be OK, I did bring in all the desert rose.
