My son loves it raw as well. It's a little to tart for my liking but my new favorite drink is 1 cup water, 1 cup chopped raw rhubarb, 1/2 cup strawberries, teaspoon to tablespoon of agave or local honey (depending on how sweet you want it) and a teaspoon of Ceylon Cinnamon. Blend till creamy smooth. Tastes just like Rhubarb crumb pie.

No rubard growing here but my mom grew it when I was a kid. I would eat it raw then myself. But haven't had any in many, many years.

I weeded today so that my area that will be my cucumber patch is ready to plant. I started seeds myself and now have plenty of seedlings to plant out. Tomorrow I hope to get them planted. Then I need to put mulch down between the cucumber rows. Easiest to do it when the plants are small.

I have 6 different cuke varieties so should have plenty of cucumbers. I do love a nice fresh cucumber and tomato salad in the summer. Especially for lunch.

More blooms showing up on more and more of the tomato plants. And more green tomatoes setting. I have never had tomatoes set this early in the year ever. And the funny part is that my Early Girls don't even have flowers yet and those are supposed to be early.

My cucks have only just begun getting second leaves. Started them late I guess. Celeste hope you have as many cucumbers as you did last year.

I picked a huge batch of Mustard Greens today. They came back from last years seed and where getting ready to go to seed. Made and awesome stir fry from them and wrote down the ingredients as it was awesomely delicious. Stir fried baby mustard greens, hungarian sweet peppers, spanish onion, cumin, chili powder, golden raisins, coconut flakes, red pepper flakes and a can of pinto beans. Stir fired in Coconut oil til the onions and peppers where just soft. The combo of sweet and hot was just perfect.

Picked about 3 dozen radishes today as well.

Well, finially today I got around to sowing my bean seeds. I put in Red Seeded Asparagus Beans (Long Beans), French Gold and Cosse Violetto pole beans and Maxibel Bush Beans. So I should have a lot of beans one they start to set. I like fresh green type beans from the garden even though the pole beans I planted are not green. One type is yellow, the other purple. But the Long Beans are green and the bush beans I planted are green.

My peas are loaded with blossoms. Yay finally seems like I've been waiting for ever. The plants are over 3 feet tall and lush. Hoping for a good crop.
